Model Answer 1

While socialising has been one of the most effective trends in society, it has become more common for people to socialise online rather than in person. Due to the pandemic poised by Covid19, the trend of online socialisation has further enhanced. While many consider it to have a good impact, I, however, consider it to have negative aspects as well.

With technological development being rapid and efficient, it has been possible for people to communicate and interact with people living thousands of miles away. 21st-century developments have ushered immense advancements for people being able to communicate and socialise through online modes of communication.

Moreover, the covid19 pandemic has made it difficult for people to socialise publicly as the need for maintaining social distance has become important. From socialising in public to socialising online becoming a trend has got a push due to the pandemic as well. It has contributed in its own ways to enhance the trend of online socialising.

However, the negative effect of people socialising online constantly can be identified in terms of people’s confidence in public speaking and communication declining. One might be a good communicator when he/she speaks to another person online but it shakes the confidence of people to generate conversations in person. Moreover, socialising online has a high risk of meeting with fraud people thereby a sense of security is lost in that aspect.

Hence, while the positive aspect of online socialisation can be considered in terms of people being able to keep in touch with people miles away, the negative aspects of online fraud and lowering public speaking confidence are also challenging.

Model Answer 2

Socialising online has become a trend in the current world where people find it more convenient to communicate and interact online than face-to-face. Further, the pandemic has led to the situation where online is the best way for interacting with people. While some consider that online communication has led to a negative impact on people in terms of socialising in public, it has its positives as well.

Advancements in technology have led people to incline more towards online attributes of communication. Accordingly, socialisation has become possible through various social media platforms that people are able to use online and interact with people miles away.

The pandemic can be considered to have contributed immensely towards the further growth of socialisation by people more and more through online platforms. Accordingly, people in lieu of maintaining distance and enjoying online chatting have become more interested in socialising online. It has enabled people to gain more confidence to speak and socialise than before hence, making it easier to communicate.

However, online socialisation by people on an immense scale has made people lazier and further makes people suppress their actual feeling quite effectively. People may not find the same comfort and feel that they get while being able to express themselves in person. Even the problem has been solved by the technology by enabling video calling measures that can be considered effective.

Hence, while the negative effect of not being able to express through modes of text messages can be considered challenging in online socialising, the positive effects of socialising online can be considered more with people living away from their family and loved ones can interact effectively through chatting and video calling.

Model Answer 3

Socialising online has become the new trend in the current world where social media has become the mode of communication. Further, the pandemic has led people to consider the option of online socialisation more than the face to face socialisation. Apparently, with pros and cons existing in both types of socialisation, the essay would elucidate on both aspects and provide an opinion.

Within a globalised world where technologies have evolved and people do not need to wait for letters and postcards to communicate, online communication has made it easier for people to socialise and interact with others living miles away. From professional meetings and interviews to conducting schools and even speaking to loved ones has been possible through online communication.

Moreover, the pandemic has led to the situation where people can communicate online as well as maintain social distancing effectively. While the lockdowns had led people to stay away for months and not be able to meet their loved ones, online socialisation has been the only way through which people could communicate.

However, the negative effects in terms of people becoming confined to their homes and being less interested in meeting in public places is a nature which people have developed. This has made people lazy and less confident in terms of communicating. Expressions have become minimal and only made through emojis which further makes conversation difficult.

However, despite the negative effects that online socialisation might have, in times of crisis, it is online socialisation that has helped people to remain stable. Effectively, it is important to understand that while pros and cons of both types exist, it is important to appreciate new developments made through technology for online socialisation.
