Fortunately, if people are willing to change their lifestyles, this difficulty can be overcome. For example, if individuals quit purchasing ready-to-eat foods and instead use raw ingredients to create their meals on a daily basis, solid waste output at home may be drastically reduced. Furthermore, if individuals prefer to carry their veggies and fruits in cloth or paper bags, food packets and plastic boxes will naturally disappear from home garbage. Finally, rather than purchasing food from supermarkets or restaurants, people may be responsible and avoid adopting an unhealthy lifestyle by making their own meals at home. Domestic trash generation will be reduced significantly as a result of this lifestyle change. Raising awareness about this issue can help to improve the situation.
