Topic: News Reports IELTS Speaking Part 1

Question 1: How do you usually get your newspaper?

Answer: Each and every individual in my family reads the newspaper on a daily basis. We address our father as traditionalists. He enjoys reading newspaper in the morning over a cup of tea.

Traditionalists: a supporter of tradition-keeping, especially when it comes to avoiding change

Question 2. How often do you read the newspaper?

Answer: I do not read often. I do read sports sections, though. Since the election is approaching, I also happen to monitor the regional segment. I no longer have time to sit down and read the news, so I downloaded the TOI app to my phone to get the latest news. Newspapers are published more frequently, with the bulk appearing daily or once a week. On the other hand, magazines are not needed to be published on a regular basis; some only emerge after a year or six months. Newspapers include brief essays as well as current news and updates on global issues.

Question 3. What news do you prefer to read?

Answer: I enjoy being current with news. I can stay current on our nation's current events, the GDP, economic expansion, and more while I prepare for my forthcoming government exams. I can also watch world news thanks to it. I enjoy reading about the stock markets as well. It gives me insight into my upcoming trading sessions.

Question 4. Do most people in your country follow the news?

Answer: Yes, practically every day, people in my country watch the news. However, the majority of people avoid scanning news stories, especially the younger generations. Additionally, there are several circumstances in which people favour reading news that is pertinent to them. For instance, a businessperson will prefer to read the stock news and financial updates since these are of interest to them.
