It is neither possible nor useful for a country to provide university places for a high proportion of young people IELTS Writing Task 2 is an advantage-disadvantage essay. The three sample answers have been provided below. Answers begin with identifying both views and is followed by a brief explanation related to the topic. The sample answers include 3 parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction talks about the opinion and the reason behind it. The body explains and highlights points to support the topic. The conclusion will have the opinion of the candidate.

IELTS writing task 2 evaluates candidates based on the knowledge and views they have expressed. The areas that candidates are assessed on are grammar, vocabulary, and style. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9. Empowering the young generation with education is and should be the primary focus of a government. Educating young minds is a beneficiary factor for a nation, but many policymakers apprehend and accept the fact that it is not easy nor useful to provide a large proportion of the population the university seats. I agree with this fact

To begin with, talking about affordability and accessibility, every learner can't have access to university education. Entering a university requires a lot of expenditure to be made on study material, educational tours and many other things related to practical training. It would be impossible for poverty-stricken students to afford their tuition fees. Even if the government wishes to help, it would almost seem to be impossible to educate the huge population of young minds.

As we all know that every student or learner is different. Some with the help of education can carve out a niche but some even with proper education are not competent to benefit their nation. Even after securing their education from university many graduates even fail to find a decent job to support their family and contribute to their nation. Thus, imparting education to a huge proportion of young minds does not guarantee the whole development of a nation. Moreover, many learners don’t take keen interest in their studies. They don’t have the zeal and the stimulation to continue their study. They either drop out or slack off in their studies even if they continue in different universities.

Hence in a nutshell I disagree with providing university education free of cost or subsidizing it. The government can support meritorious students by giving them a concession in their fees.

We have often witnessed contradictory opinions regarding whether university education should be dispensed to the huge proportion of youth by the government. According to my dispensing, university education does no justice to society. Giving accessibility to university education strangles the very idea of healthy completion between the youth and ceases the enthusiasm and zeal to continue further studies. Spoon feeding the youth by providing them with secured university seats does no good to the nation and even to society.

Furthermore, besides providing education to the government, the young mind has many other sectors to invest in like the health care sector, defence sector to run the nation and economy of a country. By diverting all its resources and funds in providing university education it cannot risk the development in another sector. The government is accountable for striking the right balance between the economy and education. Moreover, making university education feasible would create an imbalance between education and the working force. Easy entry into the university would demotivate the graduates to work as blue-collar workers in various industries and factories, which in turn would affect the economy of a nation. Thus, the government cannot take a huge risk of making university education feasible.

Simultaneously, a university supports and offers a limited number of seats and courses to the learner. Giving accessibility to the youth may hinder the academic calendar and even the institutional resources of the university. The entry of a huge proportion of earners can affect the quality of education which the university wishes to offer to meritorious students. Thus, it is almost unrealistic for a university to entertain the education of a huge proportion of learners.

To crown it all I firmly disagree with the idea of imparting university education to the huge population of youth by the above arguments.

There has always been a tussle between the contradictory ideas regarding granting university places to a huge proportion of learners. According to them, on one hand every single youth needs to attain a university-level education. Imparting university education to every single youth can open myriad opportunities to these young minds. Graduating from university can open the doors of prosperity for these young minds.

But receiving a university education may not seem to be a feasible task in a developing nation. Firstly financial crises act as a huge stymie in the path of the meritorious students to continue their university education. Due to these insufficiencies, many meritorious students are compelled to gamble with their careers and are forced to settle with less than what they desire. Reputed universities often ask for high tuition and educational fees which make it impossible for the students to continue their further studies.

On one hand, I firmly believe that there is a need to impart university education to young minds. The first reason is to stave off the practice of manual workers. It is necessary for the young generation to get equipped with the skills and knowledge and to contribute to the development of the nation. On the other hand, giving entry to every youngster in university can create an imbalance in the workforce of the nation.

In conclusion, I would disagree with the idea regarding imparting education to every youth.
