Model Answer 1

Different people have different opinions regarding art. Some people prefer international art and some prefer local art. Hence, museums and art galleries are also facing the same problems whether to keep the local art or arts from other parts of the world. Art is an everlasting commodity which exists even after the death of its creator. There are multiple famous works around the world. These pieces of art have no boundaries. People all over the world fancy the painting Mona Lisa which was created by Michalengelo. It is not the people of his country or region which has the availability to view this art. I feel that museums should promote the local artist but keep the artwork of artists all over the world. This will help the museums get more exposure. If a museum only keeps the artworks of local artists, it will gain popularity locally and not internationally. Art galleries should concentrate on both the works of their own country and international artists. Displaying the artwork of local artists will definitely benefit the local artists. However, it will not provide them much exposure. If international art is also kept, this will attract international art enthusiasts which will benefit the local artists. They will get the recognition they deserve, in addition to the remuneration. Different people take motivation from various artists around the world according to their choice. New contemporary artists take much inspiration from artists like Picasso, Van Gogh and Da Vinci. Thus, the universality of art should not be limited to a specific region. I feel that artists all over the world draw inspiration from various artists all over the world and hence, limiting the art collections to a specific region will be unjustified for the new local artists. Hence, keeping the famous art works along with the local artworks are important for a museum. I do not agree with the fact that museums and art galleries should concentrate on the works of their own countries instead of the work of art from other parts of the world.

Model Answer 2

There is always a difference of opinion regarding art galleries and museums. People have 2 opinions whether they should only keep local arts or should works of art from all over the world be allowed.
Art has been one of the very few things that have ever lived in all cultures. Art is a way to understand and analyzeHuman history and origin. If one studies art, they will come to know how humans came into existence. The artworks of famous historians also shows the tales of survival that our ancestors recorded. Such historical pieces of art were done much before our current country boundaries were established.
I feel that depriving any artist or art enthusiast of that important learning based on international borders does not seem right. Therefore, museums should be allowed to exhibit local as well as international artifacts. This is the best way we can to treat art as a union of all cultures in the world before even the cultures were separated.
Art in itself is a language for the artist and its viewers. People prefer different types of art and they become fond of different styles. Inspirations are drawn from different artists, not only local but international. Some artists take inspiration from Picasso, Van Gogh and Da Vinci. Some take inspiration from the works of M.F. Hussain and Amrita Shergill. Thus, the universality of art should not be limited to a specific region, as this nature of art brings people from the diverse cultures of the planet together.Though we consider the facts, it is true that displaying only local works of art in museums and galleries will drastically benefit local artists. The local artist will get the exposure, recognition they deserve. However, from a historical perspective, banning any form of artwork has never been successful. They are admired all over the world. Hence, art and craft from a region should not be limited to display in that region only. It should rather be allowed to be celebrated by admirers anywhere and everywhere.

Model Answer 3

Art is the one of the most debatable topics in the modern world. People speak about local artists and international artists and their artwork. This has made the owners of the art galleries and museums think whether they want to keep both the art forms in their galleries. I personally believe that promoting the artwork of the local artists or national artist will not only be beneficial for the artist but will show the heritage and culture of that specific country. However, there is also a backdrop to it. People will not be able to relate and view the international artworks. This will not allow them to participate and gain knowledge in what is happening around the world. Hence, as per my opinion, the art galleries should have sections for local artists as well as international artworks. This will give the art galleries more importance. Art enthusiasts and artists from all over the world will visit the galleries. The new and upcoming artists will have exposure and they will be able to relate to their idol’s paintings and artworks. Not only this, museums that host artworks and workshops of international artists will gain more popularity. Art is a culture and religion for the artists. As per my opinion, they should not be divided by boundaries. As human beings, it is the right of an artist to know and understand art and its history. Hence, limiting a gallery with artworks of national artists will not allow them to do so. I agree with the fact that if the museums focus on local artists, they will be beneficial for the artists. We cannot ignore the fact that this will limit the local artist to very few forms of arts which are national. They will not have exposure to international arts and their culture. I do not agree with the fact that museums and art galleries should concentrate on the works of their own countries only. They should have divisions for both national and international art forms.
