Topic: Most countries want to improve the standard of living through economic development; however, others think the social value is lost as a result. Do you think the advantages of economic development outweigh the disadvantages?

Model Answer 1

Many individuals claim that this trend has led to the loss of traditional values. However, economic progress has helped many impoverished people escape poverty and given the public a better materialistic lifestyle. I don't quite concur with this viewpoint. I believe that this tendency has more benefits than drawbacks, which are largely controllable.
Firstly, economic growth has numerous positive effects. First off, it lessens poverty and raises living standards. More work chances are being created as the economy expands. The proceeds from employment can raise people's standards of living and assist society in escaping poverty. Additionally, if a person can afford the fees, they can receive an education. People learn a range of knowledge in numerous sectors through education, and they also learn how to apply that knowledge for a better world.
However, there is no disputing that some traditional values are disappearing as a result of the materialistic lifestyle that economic progress has brought us. For instance, once their fundamental requirements are met, people often want more opulent possessions without truly appreciating what they currently have. Nowadays, a lot of kids think that having a smartphone is just something that everyone does. Humans also believe that everything, including friendship and love, can be purchased with money when living conditions rise. It is challenging for us to establish genuine relationships or trust others when society changes to this extent. However, by instilling moral principles from a young age, the social ideals can be restored / safeguarded.
To sum up, society should grow its economy because it offers enormous advantages including a better quality of life and the opportunity to pursue education. Giving value education at a young age helps reduce the chance of losing social value.

Model Answer 2

People's ultimate ambition is to live at a high standard of living. We're all trying our best to maintain our comfort and tranquility. Governments work to meet the needs of their people and give them access to all kinds of opportunities for advancement. The economy needs to be strengthened to accomplish this.
This has benefits and drawbacks just like everything else. The economy should be developed for numerous reasons, not just to raise living standards. For example, it may have a positive influence on the nation's politics, culture, and military might.
Certain people approach this issue from a different angle and think that there are some downsides to the economic progress made to raise living standards. First and foremost, it is preferable for governments to focus on providing the basic necessities for its citizens. These include food and medication, before considering offering a lot of spare time and a comfortable standard of living. Another explanation, in their view, is that things are simple. Especially if they weren't paid for by the people's taxes, the populace might not behave well toward government-built facilities. As they are convinced that the community will change, people's morals. These will be accompanied with such honesty and truthfulness will change. In addition, families won't regularly get together. And the sense of help and support can eventually disappear due to the availability of many things to all people. They also believe that social values may be impacted by such development.
For the benefit of their inhabitants, I believe it is crucial for nations to expand their economies. I think that the benefits of an improving economy will have a big good impact on society. Also, the advancement of the nations will be the usual outcome of this development.
Last but not least, governments and the relevant regulatory bodies should work to strike a balance. This can be between increasing population income and preserving local customs and traditions while preventing any disruption from outside cultures.

Model Answer 3

Any country that wants to grow economically has to do so since its residents' daily lives will be greatly impacted by its economic situation. The improvement in national living standards is closely related to economic progress. Every nation must be capable and have strong economic growth if it hopes to raise the standard of life for its people. And ensure that they have access to basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter.
The level of life would inevitably increase if economic growth is effective. Jobs will be produced as a result of stable economic conditions, and the market will function properly as far as money circulation goes. I believe that if a nation focuses solely on enhancing its citizens' quality of life through economic development. Thus, its citizens will have to put in a lot of effort and devote the majority of their time to their jobs. This will have a negative impact on the nation's citizens' sense of social value and social life. Since one must make a sacrifice in order to obtain something else, economic stability is the outcome of extraordinary effort.
For a high level of life, in my opinion, economic growth is the finest and most appropriate alternative. And its benefits almost always outweigh its drawbacks. Social morality and social ties are not a problem in economically developed countries. Instead, it is getting worse in nations that haven't quite reached full economic growth.
In conclusion, the most crucial aspect of a country's advancement is its economic growth, which does not imply a decline in social ideals.
