Band 6 IELTS Essay

Fast food consumption is growing at an alarming rate in many parts of the world. I believe it is extremely beneficial not only in terms of time savings, but also in terms of cost efficiency. This essay will look at how these two benefits have the potential to outweigh any disadvantages. In today's world, the majority of people prefer to eat street food and restaurant meals rather than cook at home. This rubric has numerous advantages, and the former should not be overlooked. A couple of points of view are discussed in the following paragraphs.

To begin, consider the advantages of eating at street vendors and restaurants. The primary reason is that it is more convenient, and people who are impoverished can afford such street foods. They are unable to cook food at home due to the high cost of gas, vegetables, and a stove. For example, in India, the majority of people live in slums and eat street food on a daily basis. Aside from that, people have hectic schedules. Aside from that, people have hectic schedules, so they prefer restaurant food because they do not have enough time to cook at home. As a result, street food, such as pizza and burgers, is not only less expensive but also easier to prepare.

However, there are a few disadvantages to eating at street markets. The most important point to remember is that it can lead to fatal disease. To be more specific, people typically eat fast food at a street market. As a result, they may develop diseases such as obesity and cholesterol problems. However, it is better for people's health if they prefer home-cooked meals. Because they know how much vitamins and nutrients to include in the food. Along with this, if they eat at home, the family bond will be strengthened. As a result, they can protect against diseases and form strong bonds.

To summarize, there are some drawbacks to this concept, which involves fatal diseases. However, the benefits of being less expensive and cooking faster should not be overlooked.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Many new restaurants, fast food chains, and packaged food manufacturers have entered the market in recent years. People prefer ready-made foods and prefer to eat out or buy pre-cooked meals. However, most people are unaware of the disadvantages of eating this type of food on a regular basis. In this fast-paced environment, in most cases, both family members work and manage their lifestyle. However, with work, it is difficult to cook and go grocery shopping on a regular basis.

This is one of the primary reasons why people are becoming more interested in restaurants and packaged foods. For example, when a couple gets home from work, they can easily make a phone call or even order food online and have it delivered to their door. Packed food is also popular among students, particularly those who do not live far from their families. Regardless of whether restaurant food is easy to obtain or exceptionally delicious, we must remember that more than 90% of the food is unhealthy. For more evidence, studies show that the young generation is increasingly susceptible to heart disease and other serious diseases. As a result, some countries levy additional taxes on restaurant foods or tin-packed foods so that people can avoid them. Cooked food is now available and delicious; however, it poses significant health risks, and our home-cooked culture is disappearing. I see only one minor disadvantage, which can be compensated by eating in restaurants that are approved by the government.

To summarize, the benefits of prepared food, particularly in terms of saving time and money, easily outweigh the minor disadvantages related to meal quality.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Globalization and industrialization have increased the prevalence of fast food, frozen food and processed foods among people today. It is true that some people maintain old habits when it comes to diet and nutrition, such as cooking at home, but others do not mind buying readymade food. In my opinion, the positive aspects of this development outweigh the negative.

The facility is, without a doubt, one of the most significant advantages. Living in a fast-paced world necessitates adequate time and organization; thus, this type of purchase is completely convenient. Furthermore, because of their hectic schedules, people tend to choose this option because it is extremely fast. In other words, saving time is essential for maintaining an organized routine. Another advantage is the low cost. Depending on the circumstances, buying readymade food may be a better option in terms of affordability than buying ingredients separately. A single person living alone might find it more cost-effective to purchase ready food than to buy groceries due to the pandemic, for example. Furthermore, this option is far more convenient because people can order food with a single click on the internet. In other words, it is completely modern and functional. However, there are some drawbacks. The obvious counter-argument is that these types of foods are far more unhealthy. As a result, a balanced diet prepared at home is far more healthy and nourishing than one prepared in a restaurant because it includes fresh vegetables. Another disadvantage of this assumption is that cooking can be a form of therapy for some people when they want to unwind and enjoy the company of family. Finally, due to a lack of time, purchasing ready-to-eat foods has become popular and, in some cases, necessary for some adults. While some people attempt to create a healthy routine at home, the number of extracurricular activities can make this difficult.
