Topic: In some countries, many more people are choosing to live alone nowadays than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Model Answer 1

On the contrary to earlier times, there is no denying that more and more individuals today aspire to live independently. Some claim that this tendency has a negative impact on our lives, but in my view, living alone also generally has positive effects.
To highlight, living independently from one's family has several advantages. These folks now have the chance to live their lives on their own and make their own decisions. Additionally, living alone helps people become autonomous and self-sufficient, both of which are essential life skills for a successful profession. For instance, handling all the household responsibilities like cooking, paying bills, cleaning, and so on would give kids valuable experience. In addition, learning how to manage a variety of tasks will increase their confidence.
On the other hand, there is no denying that people who live far from their family may encounter situations that could negatively impact their quality of life. These people are more likely to succumb to harmful influences and risky behaviours, such as drinking or gambling. This could endanger their careers or sway them from moral principles. However, those who continue to live with their relatives have a lower chance of experiencing this circumstance. Additionally, if everyone lives under one roof, family ties and relationships can be better maintained. Living alone offers both benefits and drawbacks, to sum up. I believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks and increase people's responsibility and independence. The drawbacks should be viewed as a price we must pay for the qualities of the world in which we live. The recent trend of living alone, particularly among millennials, is proven to be very bad for humanity. Because it has a severe impact on one's health and leads to less connection with neighbours. It is the responsibility of all humankind to stop this developing epidemic and discourage the individualistic culture.

Model Answer 2

Nowadays, more men and women choose to live alone than in the past. This is a bad trend, in my opinion, because it could endanger the lives of the people involved and even result in their disappearance.
One's life may first be at risk if they live alone because they may not receive first assistance when it is needed. Accidents and illnesses can strike at any time, but often the person who is closest to the victim—such as the person they share a home with. Can act quickly to save the person's life. This is particularly important for people with heart and obesity-related disorders, as if help arrives just a minute later. Their chances of survival drop from 50% to just a minute. In Japan, for instance, it happens frequently that people are discovered dead in their apartments. This happens after suffering heart attacks and no one could immediately assist them.
In addition, people's desire for living alone may contribute to the ongoing decrease or perhaps extinction of the human race. Humans naturally live together with people of the opposite sex in order to reproduce. Men and women who choose to live alone do not typically have children. If this keeps happening, a region's population will steadily decline until there is no longer a future generation to support the society. At this time the population will vanish when the current generation of residents passes away. For instance, because many people choose to live alone, Japan's population has declined by 15% during the past 20 years.
In conclusion, it is believed that the tendency of today's generation to live independently is unfavourable. This essay identified two possible outcomes, with the first being a great risk to people's lives and the second being the extinction of humanity.

Model Answer 3

More people than ever before are living alone today. I think that this is a good change because it significantly lessens our reliance on other people and strengthens our capacity to handle. The desire to live alone is advantageous in the sense that it prevents us from becoming overly reliant on our friends and family. That is to say, individuals who live alone do not rely on their family members for help with their housing, daily needs, or financial affairs. This helps them grow into independent individuals and increases their level of self-reliance. It is a crucial quality that has been seen in numerous powerful individuals. For instance, according to a Forbes article, 70% of those with the power to influence the public have lived alone in the past.crisis. Both of these are essential for personal growth.
Additionally, this change in how men and women live makes it possible to master the most effective way to deal with urgent issues. People who live alone are compelled to complete household chores by themselves, which gives them experience in cooking and cleaning. Therefore, individuals can use such experience to recover in the event of a job loss or financial disaster. For instance, according to studies from the University of Oxford, 80 percent of young workers start working as cooks after losing their normal jobs. This prevents them from going bankrupt.
The trend of people living alone, according to this essay, is a positive development. Because it enables people to become independent of their relationships. And makes them more capable of handling any crisis.
