Band 6 IELTS Answer
The maps show details of alterations made to the Willington town in 1780, 1860, and 2000. In general, it is more likely that this region was an agricultural one in the early days before it was transformed into a residential one in 2000. Four farms and a river on the west side of the town's centre could be found in 1780. However, the number of farms was decreased by half in 1860, and a bridge was added to cross the river. A village with 100 homes existed on the northeastern part of the land in the early years; this village's population increased the following year. The south-east side portion had a lot of woods in 1780, but those woodlands gradually diminished. A lot of things changed in 2000. Starting with the inauguration of several new stores, the construction of a new road connecting the village to the north and the river, among other things. A wetland addition for birds may be found on the river's southwest side. A road connecting the new facilities, which include schools and a sports complex, to the community was created on the opposite side of it. The community saw a significant transformation in 2000 with the construction of 500 dwellings for locals.
Band 7 IELTS Answer
The map shows the town of Willington's development between the years of 1780 and 1860 as well as between 2000. It is clear that the community transitioned from being mostly agricultural and rural to becoming increasingly residential and commercial. Especially with new homes, access roads, a bridge, shops, and areas for sports and recreation being added at the expense of the natural farmland and forests. The only thing that changed was the river. There were just 100 houses in Willington in 1780, while farms and woodlands covered a sizable area to the east and south. By 2000, the river's course beside the settlement, which ran from north to south, had not changed. A route from the river to a residential area that had quadrupled in size (200 dwellings) in the northeast had been constructed by 1860. After some farms and forests had been cleared. There was also what appeared to be a bridge crossing the river. 500 dwellings were built by the year 2000, and the farms and woodlands had been completely removed. Due to this, there are now two schools, three sports facilities, and a large number of stores lining the river's southern bank. At the river's southern terminus, a sizable lake was the final addition.
Band 7.5 IELTS Answer
The map in question shows the information on the changes that took place in the city of Willington over the course of three separate years. Overall, it is obvious that compared to earlier years, several modifications in the maps happened after a considerable amount of time. The number of facilities grew in 2000. First, four farms are located close to a large river in 1780. However, 100 homes are constructed with front-side living in mind. In contrast, there were little changes in 1860 compared to the year before, and the number of dwellings grew. Farms are relocated, but the bridge is still built to span the river. Additionally, a new Road is built from the river to the dwellings, but less forests remain. In addition, farms were completely evacuated from their locations in the year 2000, and five new stores were established in their stead. Nonetheless, 300 new residences are now ready for habitation. In recent years, wood is chopped from its place, and sports fields are constructed. Additionally, a new Road is built connecting the house to the sports field. Additionally, a bird wetland is being built close to stores. Because schools weren't open in past years, two schools were also established between the sports fields for improved education. In order to make people's lives easier, several new products were created in the year 2000.
