The map below shows university sports count in 1990 and now IELTS Writing Task 1 is an IELTS academic topic. Band 8 IELTS Answer
Map depicting the development of a university sports field area from 1990 to the present. From an overall perspective, it is clear that the total number of 4,444 tennis and basketball courts has increased due to the costs of parking and parks, 4,444 while a stately building with a sports gym is now is home to many different fitness facilities. These changes allow for more diverse operations. In 1990, the left side of the map was a park with trees and a parking lot. Today, the park has been replaced by a large basketball court and the parking lot by four tennis courts. On the right side of the map, a structure consisting of various sports facilities has been erected, only the indoor swimming pool and reception area are in the same location in the new building.
The locker rooms below the reception and pool areas have been lengthened and moved slightly to the right to align above a large new fitness center.
The fitness center replaces two tennis courts, currently located outside the main building.
Band 7.5 IELTS Answer
From 1990 to the present, the map illustrates how the sports field area of the university has evolved. An examination reveals a clear shift: the total count of tennis and basketball courts has amplified – albeit at the detriment to parking spaces and parks. Furthermore, what was once an imposing edifice with a gymnasium now accommodates myriad exercise facilities. Fitness varies significantly.More diverse operations become possible due to these changes.The map displayed a park with trees and a parking lot on its left side in the year 1990. A large basketball court has replaced the park today; likewise, four tennis courts now occupy the previous parking lot.
The right side of the map showcases a diverse sports facility complex, which primarily houses the new building's indoor swimming pool and reception area. The large new fitness center necessitated the lengthening and slight rightward movement of the locker rooms below the reception and pool areas, aligning them directly above. Outside the main building, two tennis courts: the fitness center's former facilities, have undergone replacement.
Band 7 IELTS Answer
The visible transformations that have occurred on college athletic fields today compared to their outlook in 1990 are depicted in the maps provided. Overall, it appears that sports facilities have improved significantly over the period under review. In 1990, the only sports facilities in the area were an outdoor swimming pool and two tennis courts.
The swimming pool is to the east of the cafe and the reception and tennis courts are to the far south of the pool. Parking and changing rooms have been added to the resort's user facilities. Four major changes have taken place in the complex.
Currently we can see that the outdoor swimming pool has been converted into an indoor swimming pool. Two new tennis courts were built on the west side and the old ones were moved next to them. In place of the old tennis courts, a fitness center began operating. The last big change is the new basketball court, built on the west side of the swimming pool, opposite the reception area.
