Band 7 Answer

The two maps show Southside, an existing shopping center, and how it will be enlarged.

Overall, it is clear that the mall currently includes a shopping complex, golf course, park, exercise facility, and parking lot. The country club, small park, and health club will be destroyed in the development while the commercial center will grow with more stores. There are plans to expand the parking lot.

Only the grocery, restroom, and entryway will remain at the original location, according to the proposal. Rather than the golf club and park, there will be a large eastward expansion of the mall. To make room for the parking lot, which will more so than treble in size, the fitness club will be demolished. In the shopping plaza itself, the shopping center will continue, growing in size and getting an entrance. Despite the planned refurbishment showing more stores, such as stores and shoe stores. Along with a beauty salon, a cosmetics and gift store will be built. Since the cafe will serve as an information hub, there won't be anywhere to dine. Currently, the main route is surrounded by a row of stores on either side. However, it seems that the businesses along the new pedestrian street's north side will be destroyed. To make room for a bus stop, a shopping center, a parking lot, and additional homes.

The maps show the Southside shopping mall both as it is now and as it might change in the future.

Overall, it is obvious that the goal is to expand the shopping center. And its parking lot into the neighboring green zone in order to give more room for shops. And boutiques of all kinds while reducing space for events and restaurants.

Currently, Southside Mall includes a grocery store, a department store, movie theaters, a noodle shop, a café, a kids' play area, and restrooms. A country club that backs up to a park is situated to the east of the center. To the south, next to the mall entrance, are a fitness center and a parking lot.

The planned proposal states that the only remnants of the original site will be the store, restrooms, and entryway. The mall's eastward expansion, which will take over the area that the parkland and golf course once called home, will be the most major change. The size of the parking lot will nearly triple as a result of the demolition of the fitness center. The proposed redevelopment proposes that the shopping center will remain inside the mall. Growing in size and getting its own entrance, and that other retailer. Such designer boutiques and shoe shops will get extra room. A beauty salon and a beauty and gift store will also be included. However, there won't be anywhere to eat because an information center will take the place of the café.

In conclusion, the changes proposed will expand the Southside shopping center, giving more individuals a place to spend their downtime.

Band 9 Answer

Both maps essentially depict a Southside shopping area in its present condition and a future plan for growth and rehabilitation.

The plaza will change significantly overall due to the addition of numerous retailers. The replacement of eateries by fashion stores. And the demolition of the health club due to the extension of the parking lot.

About five to six stores [a café, clothing retailer, noodle restaurant, supermarket, bathroom, and play area] are currently located in the Southside mall. For instance, in the southern region, just adjacent to the parking structure and directly across from the plaza entrance, is the health spa. The golf course and recreation area at the eastern suburbs of the Galleria are the most prominent.

The map, however, shows that only the grocery, the supermarket, and the doorway would be unaffected after the restoration. Although the parking garage will be expanded since it will be expanded to the south to substitute the fitness facility.

The building will also be expanded as a result of the proposed construction, taking over the space that the golf course and park had previously occupied. A cosmetics store, two shoe shops, and a gift shop will all be added to the mall that formerly housed restaurants.
