Band 6.5 Answer

The above map illustrates the road map to access the city hospital in 2007 and in 2010. Providing a clear overview of how people might be able to access the city hospital road, the map provides clear demarcations for the same. Keeping the hospital location unchanged, there has been a remarkable transformation to the hospital’s road in terms of transportation and parking spaces. Further, new intersections have been created in order to access the hospital. In 2008, there were three bus stops that stood on either side of the hospital that gave access to people to the building.

The west side of the hospital has been occupied by a brand new bus station which did not exist three years ago. Therefore, in 2010, the new bus stations are associated with two roundabouts which have been added to access the hospital. The first roundabout has been placed at the junction of the hospital and the city road that is in the south. The city road is at the intersection of the ring road and the end of the hospital road. There are several other substitutions that have been made in this aspect. One of them is the old parking lot on the east side. The purpose of it was for both the public and the staff who could park vehicles. In 2010 however, they were made into two separate areas. The old parking lot location has been kept for parking the vehicles of the staff of the hospital. A big territory has been created in order to ensure that public users are able to park their vehicles adjacent to the hospital building which is at the east corner.

Band 7 Answer

The above two maps depict the major changes that have taken place on the road to access City Hospital between the years 2007 and 2010.

From the map it seems that the accessibility of the road to city hospitals has been constructed in a better and well planned way. In the first map, it can be seen that the city hospital was surrounded by a ring road. This ring road was further connected to the city road by the hospital road.

There were three different bus stops that were constructed on both sides of the hospital road. Car parking facility was also constructed on the left side of the hospital road. This is the plan that was induced in 2007. However, the plan changed in three years in 2010. In three years, in order to have an improved connectivity to reach the hospital, a remarkable construction was made. In the eastern side of the hospital a bigger bus station was built and trees were planted next to it. All the bus stops were demolished from either side. In its place two roundabouts were constructed to access the hospital building. On the west side of the road, a public park was created and on its opposite side, a parking area was constructed for the staff.

Band 7.5 Answer

The above map is based on the road of accessibility to a city hospital which changed in between 2007 and 2010. Accordingly, several changes have been made in terms of the construction of the road and route to the hospital. It is clear that the Ring Road did not change between the three years of 2007 and 2010.

On the other hand, the roads were significantly developed with many additions on the route including two roundabouts, a bus station, and a separate public car park. Taking a look at the 2007 map of the road to the city hospital, the access to the hospital is bordered by Ring Road. This road connects the hospital to the south part of the area of the hospital which is further connected to the city road. Furthermore, there were three bus stops on either side of the road along with the space for parking where both the hospital staff and the public parked their vehicles. Changes as per the 2010 map suggests that there were upgrades made in several areas. First, a new parking lot was constructed for the public vehicles and the old one was meant for staff only. The parking is connected with the east of the Ring Road hence, a new access to the hospital. The two roundabouts were added in the new construction, one at the junction between the hospital and city road and another connecting the ring road and hospital road. A new bus station was constructed by removing the six bus stops.
