Topic: Many parents encourage young people to leave home when they become older, while others think they should stay at home with the family. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Many parents, particularly in the west, urge their kids to move out of the family home once they're adults. On the other hand, in eastern nations, most parents prefer that their children remain with them. Both approaches have advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion, and this is essentially a cultural issue.

In the west, it's typical for parents to encourage their kids to leave the house when they're older. The fundamental benefit of this approach is that it helps children become independent on both a financial and emotional level. They also benefit from increased privacy and the freedom from parental supervision. Parents also gain from this at the same time.

Since they are no longer responsible for supporting their kids, they have more time and money to spend on activities they find enjoyable. However, parents frequently experience a great degree of loneliness after their children leave the house, and many of them eventually move into an assisted living facility.

In the east, parents encourage their kids to stay with them. The biggest benefit of this practice is that parents will have someone to look for them as they age. Children gain because they can ask their elders for assistance when they are having a problem, which is another advantage. However, there are also drawbacks. If adult children live with their parents, they might not acquire many crucial life skills.

To sum up, while some adult children live with their parents their entire lives, others leave the nest as soon as they are ready to fly. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

While some parents want their adult children to stay with them, others want them to move out once they become adults. This view will discuss both points of view. But in my view, kids shouldn't stay at home with their parents; they should go.

Some parents urge their kids to think about moving out once they reach a particular age in order to raise better, more self-reliant adults. This is due to the fact that adults can only fully understand the value of emotional and financial maturity. Once they have experienced life's hardships for themselves. Young individuals learn how to handle their finances, for instance, when they live away from their parents. Even useful life skills like cooking are learned by them.

In reality, a lot of young adults who leave their family home to pursue their education or find employment are able to handle practically all household chores. These include aspects like cooking and cleaning—on their own. Young individuals who live independently might also benefit from privacy. The individual who enjoys variety and a challenge, on the other hand, would decide to go outside. It is a better option for adults, in my opinion. acquiring the skills to manage daily problems. For instance, cooking dinner for yourself requires knowledge of the oven, as does grocery shopping. Another great talent and aptitude to embrace loneliness and overcome challenges in daily life is a routine and in control personal lifestyle. Improve your daily life skills and your sense of responsibility.

Young adults who remain with their families, on the other hand, are thought to have stronger traditional beliefs and family bonds. As a result, young adults who remain at home form a strong link with their immediate family and acquire a strong sense of cultural belonging.

However, when living with their family under one roof, many children end up becoming overly reliant on them and even forfeit their right to privacy. Indians, for instance, continue to live with their parents when they age 30 and learn to adjust, but doing so compromises their privacy.

To sum up, residing with family members well into adulthood may strengthen the bonds. But in my opinion, young people should live independently in order to grow up to be stable in both their financial and emotional well-being.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

There is no denying that everyone celebrates a milestone in the spring. Young people should now pick whether they want to live with their parents or on their own. Is it generally positive or not in this regard, the imperative question? ‎

On the one hand, young people can benefit in a number of ways from living away from their parents. They are able to think more independently, which is the first and most obvious benefit. That is to say, they are the only ones who decide about their lives after leaving home, free from parental involvement. For instance, after my brother left the house, he chose to immigrate and pursue his own goals, but before, my parents didn't agree with him.

This gave him the chance to extend his horizons and gain priceless experience. Second, this is a chance to pick up new abilities. They must manage their finances in order to pay for their cost of living, which is a case in point. Youths can therefore acquire a range of talents if they leave home at a young age. Because they are largely free from family responsibilities and have plenty of spare time. ‎

Having said that, many parents worry about this because their children may not be old enough to decide for themselves. The real problem is that if they make a terrible choice, like engaging in criminal activity, the consequences can severely devastate the youth's life.

Living apart from parents provides benefits, but it is not worthwhile to risk a young person's life. Additionally, it may present a challenge for people who wish to pursue higher levels of study. In fact, attempting to support one's family financially may distract people from their studies and cause them to put in additional hours at work. ‎

In conclusion, I believe that the drawbacks of the young generation exceed the advantages, despite the fact that they can acquire many talents by leaving home. It is preferable for them to remain at home until they are completely grown and then move out. ‎
