There are many countries in the world whose majority source of income is tourism. Countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Croatia, and Iceland depend on tourism. Tourism is a very adventurous business in itself. People always crave to go outside their own geographical limits. hence, many countries are expanding their tourism industry. In this essay, we will discuss why this is done and is it a positive development.

The need to refresh minds after a hectic work-life schedule is fulfilled by the tourism industry. Everyone likes to go on a trip and take rest for a few days. The tourism industry helps the common man do that. They provide housing and full guidance of the place to make them know about the unknown new geographical area. In this post-pandemic situation, the tourism industry has expanded its business very much. Staying always at home chokes people. So they want to go out and explore the world. Tourism provides them with such opportunities to explore. That’s why this business is very demanding. Developing countries have their own traditions. People love to explore new traditions. For the love of traditional life and everyday life, they come to developing countries. When they come, they stay for a while, enjoy the natural beauty, and simultaneously add some profits to the tourism industry. They gain knowledge about the place and its special significance of the place. It gives a man shiver thinking about historical events, and now he is the eyewitness of all that.

There is an uncountable number of benefits in terms of money and the industry. however, there are a few disadvantages that most people ignore. An increase in population for a few days or a month means an increase in pollution. Without thinking about the heritage or the beauty of nature, people pollute the places. This act of pollution diminishes the beauty of the area. Unwanted invaders create terror in the country. These unwanted difficulties create a tumultuous situation and destroy the peaceful ambiance. Terrorism is expanding also as there is no such rule to identify people.

If we can keep a check on the negative points, tourism is one of the best businesses to expand the culture of a certain place. Tourism adds to the economy of the country. Thus, expanding the tourist industry is a very good step for developing countries.

Many foreigners who are enthusiastic about Hindu gods and goddesses come and feel the connection between man and his faith in God. Many tourists came to explore the tradition of India. India is well known for its tradition, may it be for dance or food. All these things attract people to come and enjoy Indian beauty. Though there are lots of benefits of coming tourists to the country, there are also some disadvantages. Pollution is one of those problems. People came and may unwittingly pollute the places. This ruins the beauty of the place. Plastic causes the most dangerous harm to nature. It chokes the river, and aquatic animals are harmed by this plastic. This element never destroys and pollutes the water continuously. To prevent this pollution, the Himachal Pradesh government has taken a good step. They ban plastic use. This step can prevent pollution in hilly areas. Finally, we can say, tourism adds a handsome amount of profit to the country. Traditions expand and exchange by this tourism business. This industry is highly profitable. That’s why developing countries are currently expanding their tourist industries.

Tourism is getting more popular day by day. People are highly enthusiastic to explore the unknown. They love to experience something very much unseen and unknown.

To enjoy the natural beauty they go to many tourist places. This adds some amount of money to the tourism industry. Besides this, they gain a lot of knowledge about the lifestyle of the native people. Meeting with people from other nations mixes up a tradition. There occurs an exchange of traditions. In this process, one nation’s people influence the other nation’s people. There are so many advantages to tourism. It is the first growing business. It attracts people to their services. They promise to provide high-quality service and hospitality at a cheap price. Therefore, people are interested to invest in this business. Firstly, the tourism industry gives an opportunity to the local people. Local people can work as a guide to tourists. Secondly, the incoming money from them adds a high rate of profit to the country’s economy. This emancipates the countries’ traditions as well as the economy. Thirdly, it influences the countries. This tourism creates a good relationship between the countries. They help each other to grow their business and relationship as well. Therefore, we can consider tourism as a bliss to the country. Though there are some side effects of having other foreign men in the country. Firstly, pollution. Pollution is one of the most common and hazardous effects. This affects the climate of a certain place. It ruins the beauty of nature and impacts its biodiversity as a whole. Secondly, some tourists permanently stay there. They try to influence or rather compel the people to consider their tradition as the best. It destroys the native tradition of the place. Thirdly, terrorist attacks are increasing in number. There is no such rule to stop terrorists as they are common people and no way to distinguish them from tourists. Finally, we can say tourism is very important to grow the economy of a country. It helps to build good relationships within countries. It enhances people's influence on each other’s culture.
