Band 8 IELTS Essay

It is observed that the issue of healthy lifestyle for children is an important topic. Many of them have a good and healthy lifestyle due to the advancement in technology and the changes taking place in this society. But still it is noticed that some children still live an unhealthy lifestyle because they suffer from different diseases. Therefore, some steps should be taken to solve this serious problem.

It is the responsibility of the parent to teach their children how to live a healthy lifestyle and how to grow yourself. There are few children who take their parents as their role model and try to copy them and follow the same things as they do. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the parents to do the things carefully that will teach their children good things. They should be aware of the things that should be done before their parents and should know what kind of diet should be given to them and in what amount. They should teach their children to avoid consuming just food and help them to understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. If taken seriously, parents would be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle for their own children in a short period of time.

After parents, schools are a second place from where the students can learn about the balanced diet. Children are more likely to attain new habits in school than in their own houses. It is the responsibility of the teachers to plan a schedule accordingly so that students can bring the healthy food and fruits and vegetables in their lunch box. Teachers can explain to them the benefits and fun of consuming tasty and healthy food. In this way children would be able to move their bodies more often which will reduce obesity and other diseases experienced by an unhealthy lifestyle. Schools should add an extra step of physical education as a compulsory course for students of all ages. Consuming a healthy diet is not only sufficient, but exercising regularly is also important to maintain your health. Schools should also ban junk food to be sold in the school cafeterias and focus more on organic food. In other words, schools play a vital role in making their students live a healthy life. They can open a fruit juice and fruit chart canteen in the school area.

Children are likely to adapt new ways of living from things they learn from people they are in contact with. For instance, their teachers and parents. I really believe they hold a huge responsibility in changing these children's lives. If these steps were taken, this will not only help raise awareness, but it will help build their future.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Nowadays, most of the children believe that consuming unhealthy food makes their body fit and life full of fun. This common phenomenon has raised a question that both schools and parents should take responsibility to tackle this issue. I totally agree with this idea for several reasons.

It is believed that an unhealthy lifestyle includes consuming junk food, oily and spicy food, not playing outdoor activities, spending the entire day using different gadgets. Most of the children are always glued to smart devices and they have no interest in taking part in any outdoor activities or doing exercise. They have planned their routine in such a way that they want to have fun by playing video games along with the snacks on the other side. They don't want to consume the green veggies and fruits.

One of the main reasons behind this problem is the busy life of the parents who cut them off from the routine followed by their children. They are unable to take care of the activities and the food their children do or consume. The price of everything is rising vertically so parents have to sacrifice their time earning money for livelihood. They are spending their money buying cookies and other snacks for their children. But they should spend it to buy different fruits and veggies for their children or other healthy food items. For the children’s meal, they prefer giving children money to buy food at food stalls instead of cooking a highly nutritious meal. Children who lack essential knowledge about society are easily trapped by attractive food which is low in nutrition and high in carcinogenic factors.

Schools also play an important role in setting up the daily routine of the children. They should engage the students in such activities that will help them to bring power to their body and should plan the different colors days on which they have to bring the food of that particular color. Moreover, the time for gadgets should be limited and children should be encouraged to social activities with friends and family. On the other hand, Teachers should warn and punish students heavily when they use illegal drugs.

To sum up, parents and schools should be responsible for the children’s development as well as their health.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

People have different points of view regarding the fact that both schools and parents have a responsibility to solve the problem that nowadays the majority of children have an unhealthy lifestyle. Some people think the opposite of this point of view and believe that there are other factors too that creates this problem.

It is believed that in today’s world, both mother and father are busy in their professional lives due to which they are unable to take care of their children’s routine properly. This leads to the starting of the unhealthy lifestyle of the children which includes bad habits like spending a full day playing video games, eating junk and spicy food, etc. In other words, children imitate their parents' bad lifestyle which leads to their unhealthy lifestyles.

Children believe that drinking coffee regularly and eating cookies with it improves the standard of their life and hence makes them feel cooler among their friends group. Organizing the parties everyday and consuming the dangerous items such as alcohols also imbalances their healthy life. Due to these issues, most children develop various problems in their childhood age itself.

The second reason why I believe that schools are response to work out the problem that numerous children have an unhealthy lifestyle is that they give children a large amount of stress that students could only afford through the way of give up their own time. Schools should develop a proper schedule and time table in which children can complete their work and can get some time to involve themselves in the other outdoor activities or sports. It is important to set their proper sleep time because less sleep time will make them irritated and frustrated and more sleep time will make them lazy and tiring. Students prefer to do group study which includes less study and more fun and parties. It is important for the parents and teachers to guide them in the correct way and teach the limits of each action properly.

To sum up, both schools and parents are response to shoulder the problem that nowadays majority of children have an unhealthy lifestyle due to the fact that parents were at fault that they didn’t set good examples in front of their children in the variety aspects of living habits and schools give children a large amount of stress that students could only afford through the way of give up their own time.
