Model Answer 1

Dear Sir,

My name is John Davis. I recently got the job of Assistant Manager at your company after passing an interview. On September 18, I was meant to start working, but it doesn't seem likely right now.

My chickenpox illness has lasted for about a week. It is a condition that is extremely contagious, so my doctor has advised me to stay at home. I'm also not feeling well. My entire body is covered with blisters, and I have a temperature. I'll need to recover completely for another week or so, according to my doctor. I can provide a medical certificate from my doctor as evidence of my present health if necessary.

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience, but as you are aware, there was nothing I could have done to prevent it. I'm hoping that this won't have any impact on our relationship at all. If any other proof would be required, do let me know. However, if you could provide me the opportunity to work from home for a few days, it would be great. I’ll make sure I live up to your expectations.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours Faithfully,
John Davis

Model Answer 2

Dear Mam,

I sincerely appreciate you giving me the chance to work for KSM Chartered Accountants as an internal auditor. I'm meant to start on November 15th, but I'm sorry to let you know that I'm unable to start on that day. I apologise sincerely for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I'd like to use this opportunity to explain why I'm unable to join your organisation on the scheduled day. I regrettably severely damaged my ankle last week while playing football with some old pals. I received rapid medical attention while being taken to the hospital and staying there for a few days. It will be virtually impossible for me to join your organisation on the scheduled day. Because my condition is critical and the doctor has ordered me not to move for the next few days.

I'm hoping you can appreciate how bad things are for me. I would prefer to start working on November 15th instead of November 8th, if that is possible. I'm hoping you'll agree to let me start two weeks later than originally scheduled so I can focus on my work as soon as I come to your office.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,
Kunal Mallick

Model Answer 3

Dear Sir,

I want to express my gratitude for giving me the chance to work for your company. I was given the opportunity to join your company as a Junior Executive, and my start date was set for November 15. But now that an issue has emerged, I'm forced to join later than I had originally planned—by a month.

You may recall from my interview that I currently work for my father's gift shop and that I have benefited greatly from my involvement in this enterprise. Unfortunately, my father's illness has required him to be admitted to a hospital, therefore I am now in charge of both the household and the company. I am required to take control of managing the shop because this is a particularly busy season for it.

I realise it might be inconvenient for you, but I'm hoping you'll take the situation into account. And let me start working for your company a month after the date we originally agreed upon.

I want to be clear that I am still really eager to work for your organisation and would be available to start on November 22nd.

I'm interested in hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,
James Phoebe
