Model Answer 1

Respected Sir/mam,

I'm writing to voice my displeasure with the Mumbai municipal corporation's choice to demolish the historic Hillock Fort. Since I have lived here since I was a youngster, it seems sense that I have become emotionally attached to the city and its landmarks.

I would like to confess that the fort is now in terrible shape, but it is still repairable. To be honest, with a little work, it can be fixed. Of course, doing so would require some financial outlay, but once it is done, the fort may be put to use for the good of the neighbourhood. It might hold a library or a history museum, for instance. The building doesn't currently draw many tourists due to its decaying state, but if it is renovated, it might become a popular tourist destination. I am aware that the planned shopping mall would increase local commerce. But I do not believe that it should come at the price of one of Mumbai's most intriguing sights.

I hope the municipal corporation changes its mind and chooses another location to put the shopping mall.

Yours Sincerely.
Manoj Apte

Respect Sir/Mam,

I'm writing to convey my regret and disappointment at the recent decision to demolish the Old Dutch Hospital building in the Peta neighbourhood. This was done in order to construct a new shopping centre. I was born and raised here, which maybe explains why I have a strong connection to this historic structure.

One of the significant structures constructed during the Dutch era is the Dutch Hospital. It is influenced by Dutch architectural style and gives the city exceptional visual value. Additionally, it was noted that this location attracts a lot of tourists due to its well-known architecture. The historical culture may be felt by the tourists. Destroying such priceless artefact is not the appropriate move.

The majority of the neighbourhood restaurants, stores, and tour operators profit from the area's considerable appeal. Additionally, the city is well-known among tourists in large part due to the historical significance of the structures.

I would appreciate it if you could rethink your choice and hope for a successful ending.

Yours Sincerely,
Vivek Upadhyay

Respected Sir/Mam,

\I'm writing to voice my displeasure with the Local Council's choice to demolish the ancient Mussoorie Heritage Center.

This structure has served as a significant landmark in our region for more than 150 years. There is a huge collection of artwork there. The majority of them were made by hand by experienced artisans who devoted countless hours to the growth of our community. The centre was formerly a well-liked tourist destination, but due to the Local Council's carelessness, it has lost its appeal.

I'm aware that the structure is in poor condition. There will undoubtedly be additional employment prospects for locals as a result of the proposed software firm. However, this development will come at the loss of one of Mussoorie's oldest historical sites. It feels inappropriate to me in some way.

I think that the Heritage Center can be renovated and useful to the neighbourhood. It can be used by the council as a community centre or a place where residents can learn traditional skills. In terms of fundraising, I sincerely hope that volunteers would be willing to step up and provide some of their time to this admirable cause. The Council can also ask nearby businesses to contribute small sums of money to help preserve this historic structure.

Yours Sincerely,
Rajiv Mishra
