I'm writing to bring to your attention the inconvenience that the ongoing road repairs in our area are causing. My name is Will Smith, and I live on Hillsborough Street near Lake Tahoe. For the previous ten years, I've been residing in this location.

There have been numerous road repairs here over the past few days, some of which run well into the night. I, along with other neighbouring residents, are having trouble sleeping at night due to the noise from the large machinery. Furthermore, as you are aware, having problems falling asleep at night has an impact on our health and interferes with our ability to function during the day. Additionally, there are local students who are unable to study because of this disturbance for their upcoming exams. It's challenging to focus on academics and online classes when there's a lot of noise around.

To expedite the repair process, I would like to advise that you hire more workers. You should also rigorously limit the work to the daytime, when most residents and students are at work or in class. I hope the issue will be rectified shortly. I look forward to hearing from you.

My name is XYZ, and I live in the ABC Apartments. The main street, where construction is now going on, is not far from where I live. I'm writing to you because the noise from the construction is making my work a little difficult.

As you are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has compelled many people, including myself, to work from home. Due to the constant noise, it is quite challenging for me to concentrate on my work and attend office meetings. Particularly noisy is the drilling operation. It is difficult to even leave my flat because the work lasts virtually the entire day. The fact that I frequently have to reschedule my virtual meetings is now influencing my image at work. Having anything like this affect how I work is awful.

I have a few suggestions that might help with this problem. First of all, it would be great if you could reschedule this labor for the weekends in order to avoid interfering with our office duties during the week. The noise level during the day will be reduced if you could also replace some of the old pieces of equipment that are generating major issues. I appreciate your cooperation and consideration.
