Dear Sir,
I'm a student in your English Literature class from 3rd Semester, B.A English Hons and my name is Sudha. This is regarding the result published this morning of our recent English assignment which was submitted to you last week by me. Through this letter, I wish to convey my discontentment regarding the scores I have received.
Last week I was assigned a project where I was given a task that required me to organize all the famous authors and poets. According to their genre of writing, as well as century-wise, a list of their accomplishments. As per our exam structure and schedule, every project must be assigned two weeks prior to the semester exam. However, I was assigned the project a week before the exam and I was only given a period of four days to submit my project. Nevertheless, I submitted my project thesis on time.
However, I am quite disappointed to see my results today as I have just received a total of 14 Marks out of 30, which is below average and less than 50%. I believe with the little time I was provided, I have tried to submit the project to the best of my ability. In my assignment, I have not only tried to cover the notable work of the most famous authors and poets. But also provided with detailed analysis of their writing style, depicting their thought processes and ideas behind their work. Also unfolded the meaning of the various jargons and similes used within their art. I have also detailed out their accomplishments century-wise. Lastly, I have concluded my project by making a brief comparison between the style of writing of traditional writers and modern writers.
I believe that my finished assignment deserves a second look and higher scores in light of all the dedication and effort. The project was submitted after a lot of research from various sources. Hence, I request you to please check my results carefully once more and consider my request. This would also help me to achieve a good overall score for this subject.
I would appreciate your consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Sudha

Model Answer 2

Dear Sir,
My name is Mihir and I am a student of a five-year B.A.LLB Course. I am in my final year and appeared for our penultimate semester last month. As the results of this semester were published today. I was surprised to see that I have scored very few grades in my 9th semester, Viva, for which my overall grades have also been affected.
This is to bring to your kind notice, that out of the six subjects, I have scored D in one subject, C in three subjects, and B in two subjects. This means I have been given very less marks in all six of the subjects. To have scored D in a subject means I have scored less than 30 marks out of 100. As I can recall from my viva exam, I had performed reasonably well and answered all the questions put forth before me. I had also received positive feedback from all the examiners. Given their positive feedback and response, if not an A+ in all six subjects, I personally feel that I at least deserved to have scored somewhere between an A or B. However, to my surprise, I have been provided very poor grades.
If you see my semester scores, I have performed decently well and received good grades in five out of six subjects. But, because of the poor grades in the viva, my overall score in all six subjects has gone down. As a result of this, my entire 9th-semester results have been badly impacted. As a final-year student, it is important for me to receive the marks that I deserve. I believe there has been some fault at the other end which needs to be corrected.
It’s a sincere request to reassess my viva grades for all subjects and if needed please speak to my examiners again so that I can be given the marks that I deserve. This will also help me to improve my 9th-semester marks.
Thank you for your time. I am hoping you will respond in a way that’s helpful.
Yours Sincerely,
Mihir.

Dear Professor,
I hope you are well and in the best of health.
As you are aware, the Results of History Project which you gave us a month back was declared today. The class has performed decently well however, I am not quite satisfied with my result. I have been surprisingly given very few marks considering the quality of my project.
I was given the Topic "American Revolution". If you may go through my project again, I have briefly laid out the topic under different headings and subheadings. I have mentioned the dates of the events in chronological order and subsequently discussed them gist.
I have tried to cover major sub topics like Analysis of the Preconditions of the American Revolution, Military Conflict considered as a Revolutionary War,and many other such important sub topics.
I have further analyzed the phases from the point of view of various Historians and their pieces of article as well. All the citations and references have been provided as per the format. In my view, I have covered all major topics and submitted it in a systematic manner as well. I have also ensured to have no typographical errors and grammatical mistakes. The project was also submitted on time.
Therefore, It's a humble request to kindly go through my project again and re assess my marks accordingly. I believe I deserved better marks. I would also like to discuss this sometime as per your convenience and availability. Hoping for your kind consideration.
I would also appreciate it if you could kindly point out any important topic which I might have missed or any specific changes. This is to ensure that my project requires so going further I can keep these points in mind and draft my project in the right manner.
Thanking You,
XYZ.
