Letter to Your Friend Asking Accomodation in Another Country IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. Candidates in this letter are required to address his/her friend regarding finding suitable accommodation for you. The letter follows a formal approach. Dear Alexa,

How are you? I hope you are in good health. I am writing this letter to inform you that I have just completed my high school. My parents and I have decided to study further from your University. I searched the courses and tuition fees of your University. It is affordable and the course I want to do is available there. But I need a favour from you.
I want you to find a suitable accommodation for me. As you have been living there for 3-4 years. You might know a few places where I can stay. Paying guests or tenants would be suitable as well. Also, I have no problem sharing a room with another student. But the accommodation must be near University, so that I can travel easily.
The accommodation must have basic facilities like water and proper lighting facilities. There must be a kitchen included. So that I can cook my own food. I request you to find the suitable accommodation as described above within 2-3 months. And if the place you are living at has space for me, I would love to live with you. Because I will be coming in 3 months. I would be very grateful for your help. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
