Write a letter to your utilities board.

Dear Sir/Ma’am
I am writing to you to inform you about my gas bill for the last quarter that I received on 12th July 2022. The monthly gas bill that I received for the last made me suspicious regarding an overcharged bill receipt given on my name.
I was not sure at first regarding the issue that required me to pay such high charges. Accordingly, in order to make sure that I have no doubts of my own, I checked the gas meter's reading. This made me realise that the gas bill contained some sort of error and the reading was not accurate. This made your company charge higher bills from me. Considering I was away for the last two months and the doors were locked, taking the metre readings would not have been possible. This means that the officers who came to take up the monthly reading put out some random numbers. However, this made deal with quite an anxious situation where I was not sure if I used so much of the gas. It really makes me upset to even think that employees from your board would even attempt to make such a mistake. It is essential that you look up to the matter immediately and take action.
I hereby request you to conduct a re-reading of the gas metre's reading for last month and provide me with the accurate and valid bill receipt further.

I am writing to you to inform you about my gas bill for the last quarter which I received on 12th June 2022. The monthly gas bill that I received last month made me realise that I was being overcharged for th quarter. I needed to inform you about such an error from your part.
At first, I could not believe that in my last quarter I was charged highly for the use of the gas. I suspected clearly that there might be a mistake or error from your part for sure. This is because I was out of the city for the past month. Accordingly, in order to make sure that I have no doubts of my own, I checked the gas metre's reading. This made me understand that the gas bill contains errors. This made your company charge higher bills from me. However, it was not possible for the employees last month to enter the house and check the metre readings because I was on holiday for a month. This implied that taking the metre readings would not have been possible unless someone unlocked the door. This clearly indicates that the utility boards’ officers who came to take up the monthly reading put out some random numbers as part of metre reading. The entire situation resulted in high blood sugar levels for me initially as I was shocked to see such a huge charge. It is essential that you look up to the matter immediately and take action.
I kindly request you to conduct a reading of the gas metre in my house again now that I am back. I would like to hear from your side soon enough

The monthly gas bill that I received last month was a mistaken or erroneous count of the reading that should not suffice as a quarter bill. I needed to inform you about such an error on your part.
At first, I became quite anxious regarding the overcharged bill which I did not believe was possible. However, I had to clear my doubts. I asked my immediate neighbour regarding the same and asked me to check the reading.This made me find out about the mistake that was committed from your end and not mine. Accordingly, in order to make sure that I have no doubts I went and checked twice while I also have a picture of the same. This made me understand that the gas bill contains errors. This made my company charge higher bills from me. However,this type of mistake might happen from any person and it is essential that these are brought to your notice. The error was supposedly from the part of the officers who took the reading and somehow one of the new men did that. The entire situation resulted in making me feel embarrassed and full of tension. It is essential that you look up to the matter immediately and take action.
I kindly request you to conduct a reading of the gas metre in my house again now that I am back. I would like to hear from your side soon enough
