Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to bring your attention one of the issues I have had with your Uber driver. He canceled my ride because I selected the wrong payment method. It was on the day of my exam and any delay would lead me to miss my test. So this was a huge problem which I faced

I booked an Uber because I had an exam in Kolkata and it was 2 hours ride from my place. It was Sunday, so there were less Uber drivers available. After the ride was confirmed, the Uber driver remained stationary for thirty minutes and did not move. I called him multiple times and he received the call almost after 30 minutes to say that he does not take online payments. He asked me to cancel the ride. I had no choice but to cancel that trip. In addition, I was required to book a second taxi in a hurry and had charges deducted, which added stress and anxiety to my situation. I have already reported this but there was no response from the team.

If you could look into the situation and come up with a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. At that point, the driver's behavior was unacceptable, and I want you to take action against him. Additionally, the issues with online payments must be resolved. I also want my money back for the fees I paid to cancel that trip.

I would appreciate your help.

Regards,
Amrit Nag

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am writing to express my disappointment with a particular incident that occurred during a taxi ride with your company. I have already made two complaints to the Public Relations Department because I am dissatisfied with your service. Sadly, I have not received a response regarding this unpleasant circumstance.

Around six in the evening, I took a cab from work to get home. Everything was going fine at first. Then the driver started talking to me because he was feeling sleepy. That is when I suspected that I might be drunk. After a few minutes, it was confirmed when I got the smell of alcohol. I was very afraid as there was traffic on the road and he almost fell asleep while driving. I had to call him again and again to keep the car straight. When I told him about drinking he started arguing with me and dropped me in the middle of my journey. It was very rude and disrespectful. I had to book another cab to reach home. Also, I pressed the emergency alert button but there was no response at that time. An agent called me after 2 hours. This is also not acceptable.

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding such reckless conduct. The car number is WB 52 A 02345. The date was Friday, 26th December. The cab was booked from my office which is at Salt lake. I would like you to take actions against the driver as he can cause accidents and havoc on the road. This is not at all safe for the passengers if he continues to drink and drive and drop passengers in the middle of nowhere.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

Regards,
Prashant Sinha.

Band 7.5 IELTS Letter

Respected Sir,

I am writing this letter to complain about your driver. The way he behaved badly with my family on September 8, 2021 is unacceptable.

We landed at the Bangalore Airport that night with my family. We hired a taxi using your app and looked at customer reviews to get started. His behavior made me feel very unsafe and anxious. Additionally, I was convinced that my trip to Bangalore would be one to remember. He was not at all co-operative or helpful. We asked for his identification when we boarded the taxi but he did not even show us the ID. On asking for help to unload the luggage, he refused to assist us in loading our luggage into the back seat. Later on, my which my 6-year-old daughter managed the luggage as my hands were already full. He just stood there and looked at us with a grin on his face. I was unable to understand why he behaved like that. He began using profane language and misbehaving with my daughter when we first started. He took 500 rupees extra than the normal fare. On asking why, he did not even care to answer and said something in his local language that we were unable to understand. We were robbed by him, and he threatened us not to report him to the police.

I do not want the same with the new people who are coming to Bangalore for a good time. People also come here to get treated and such behaviour could hamper their health. I insist that you take immediate disciplinary action against him in accordance with the policy of your company.

I will look forward to your response.

Regards,
Abhishek.
