Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir or Madam,

Recently I came across an article published in your famous daily newspaper. It has tried to shed light on the appearance of city centers in our country. I am writing to you, and thank you for the article and I express my opinion on this matter.

There is no doubt that it is quite well written, and I agree with most of the points made. Presented in the article. For example, I agree with the author when he says that domain Most city centers have expanded over the years.

The number of parking spaces in and around the city center has become relatively low. However, I do not agree with the author when he believes that the inner city areas of our country, quite similar. For example, my city center is different because it has managed to preserve many old buildings, unlike many other city centers. But, if the author of the article does not believe what I say here about my city center, I will say  it would be fun to show him around, so he can witness this fact and understand a little more information on this.

Best regards,

Dear Sir or Madam,

Recentlyin the esteemed daily newspaper you oversee, I encountered an article: it made a compelling argument for the need to reevaluate our current education system. I'm reaching out to you as I endeavor to illuminate the state of our country's city centers; specifically, I aim to shed light on their appearance.

Over the years, most city centers have indeed expanded; in alignment with this perspective--and to further solidify my position--I concur:

The author's assertion that the inner city areas of our country resemble a low quantity of parking spaces in and around the city center, with which I disagree. Conversely, my city center distinguishes itself from such conditions due to its unique features; these are not quite similar at all.

Unlike many other city centers, it has managed to preserve numerous old buildings; however, should the need arise--if--this may not remain the case. Disregarding my discourse on the state of our city center, the author harbors an opposing viewpoint; a perspective that does not align with mine. The author of the article does not believe what I say here about my city center, I will say it would be fun to show him around, so he can witness this fact and understand a little more information on this.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Sir/Madam,

Recently, I perused an article in your esteemed newspaper; therein, the author deliberated upon our nation's city centers' conditions. In light of this insightful piece--a catalyst for my own thoughts--I pen down not only my gratitude but also a sharing of perspectives on the matter at hand.

This well-written article largely aligns with my viewpoints: notably, I agree that city centers have significantly expanded over time—an observation made adeptly by the author. However; one particular point diverges our perspectives—the belief held passionately by the author in a uniform appearance of city centers across our nation. Unlike many other city centers, my city center distinguishes itself through the successful preservation of numerous historic buildings. Should the author harbor skepticism towards these unique features of my city center, I would eagerly extend an invitation for a tour; this firsthand experience could potentially dispel their doubts and change their opinions about my city.

Yours Sincerely,
Aahana Kundu
