Model Answer 1
Respected Sir/ Ma'am,
I am writing to you to express my interest in the position of volunteer available at the museum. I am a student of literature and have a keen interest in art and sculptures. Being a literature student, I would like to explore and know more about historical and cultural sculptures.
I would be pleased to work as a guide, in this way I will be able to nourish my skills. The experience of working at the museum would be a lifetime experience. Apart from it, I would be able to learn more about the historical and cultural heritage of our country. By working as a volunteer at the museum, I would be able to make people aware of our rich heritage and culture. Further, I will learn a variety of skills while working as a guide.
As far as my skill set is concerned, I have good command over the regional and a few international languages including French and English. Also, I am comfortable working in a team and individually as on school days, I have worked on multiple group projects. Plus, many times I have been a leader of the group, so I think I have the ability to handle large crowds at one time. It would be a good opportunity for me to put my skills into practice and add value to the functioning of the museum. However, I think I might be a perfect person for the volunteer role. Also, I will work with full dedication and commitment to serve the museum and my country.
Since I am pursuing my bachelor's at the moment, I am available after 3 pm for the role of volunteer. Also, the days of my availability will be from Monday to Saturday. In case you decide to hire me I can join immediately for the part-time position.
I am hoping that you would give me an opportunity to work as a volunteer at the museum. I am looking forward to hearing about the application from your end. Kindly, review my profile and resume once.
Thank You,
Yours faithfully
John Brooks

Model Answer 2
Dear Sir/ Ma'am,
I am writing this in response to the advertisement on LinkedIn regarding the opening for the position of a volunteer at the museum. I am a student of history and love to get more insight into our country's history. I think that I am fit for the job role of a part-time volunteer as a receptionist or museum guide at the museum.
I am pursuing my bachelor's in history from Oxford University and have a passion to serve the nation in every possible way. This opportunity as a volunteer at the museum will satisfy my hunger to serve the nation. Besides, I would be able to learn certain fresh skills. Apart from it, I had previously worked for an NGO for 4 months as a volunteer to help blind children with their studies. I think I am fit for the position of volunteer at the museum.
Regarding my skills, I would like to mention that I have gained fairly good skills in my school and college time. I think I have a good hold over history and can give a detailed knowledge of events and visuals at museums to the visitors. I am an extrovert with a vivacious personality and can easily engage the attention of people. Since I would like to work as a receptionist in the museum, I think I have adequate knowledge about the duty of a receptionist or museum guide. Also, I have a fairly good level of communication skills and can talk in three languages (English, Spanish and French) well.
Since last month my exams got over and now I am free for 6 months, so I am available for 5 months. I can join immediately and can work after 2 pm. As far as my days of availability are concerned, I can work on all days except on Sundays since I have certain other engagements on Sundays.
I am looking forward to hearing positively from your end. Kindly review my profile and consider me a deserving candidate for the position.
Thanking You
Yours Faithfully

Dear Sir / Ma'am
I am writing this letter to request you consider my application for a part-time volunteer position at the museum. I read an advertisement regarding an opening for the position of volunteer in the newspaper. I would like to apply for the position of guide and serve visitors with the information they need. This opportunity means a lot to me since I am looking forward to serving my nation in every possible way. I feel it would be the perfect opportunity for me and I am fit for the role of the part-time volunteer as a guide at the museum.
I am a Master's student in English literature and have completed my bachelor's in the same field. I have a sense of pride in the contribution made by our country in various disciplines. During my graduation, I worked with the historic art preservation committee. I learned a lot about my country's contribution to art pieces and sculptures. However, I wish to explore and put my expertise in the same sector. This would be a great opportunity for me to add more to my skill set.
As far as my skill set is concerned, I have a keen interest in history and have good knowledge of historical events and visuals. I have good technical skills like operating an MS office and can conveniently handle a bunch of visitors. Since as a guide, there is a lot of speaking, so I would say that I can confidently speak and describe things to their satisfaction.
Being a master's student, I have a few time constraints. But, I will be available for the hours after 3 pm. I won't be able to work on Mondays, otherwise, I am available on all 6 days. However, on Saturdays and Sundays, I can devote a little extra time to the museum since they are my off days.
Kindly, consider my application for the position of part-time volunteer at the museum. I would like to hear a positive response from you.
Thanking you
Yours Sincerely
