Band 8 IELTS Letter
Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to you to report the theft of my identity card. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney and arrived in Australia in August 2012. My course here will finish in September next year. I lost my ID card at Milsons Point station on April 21. I was about to catch the 9:30 a.m. train to Hôtel de Ville station, and I was drinking a cup of coffee at the snack bar in the station while waiting.
The ID card was in the side pocket of the backpack I carried on my shoulder.
This must have been picked up while I was drinking coffee, although I didn't realize it was gone until I left the deli at 9:20. My ID number is 45374398, and I would be very grateful if you could tell me what I need to do to get another ID card.
I have a copy of my lost ID card; Do I have to provide them? Please let me know the procedure and cost of making a new ID card.
Yours truly,
Daniel Timothy Chen

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you that my identity card was stolen yesterday. My name is Pragna Patel, a final year engineering student at the University of Sydney. I need your help because my identification was stolen at the Quaker Bridge Mall on Route 27.
A person wearing a black t-shirt, about 5'5", tried to snatch my wallet but when I started I ran away but unfortunately, he snatched my student card. I need your help to file a police report against him because my exams will start next week and the school board will not allow me to attend without an ID card.
I requested a reissue of my ID card, but it took nearly 2 weeks to receive it. I am waiting for your response, and you can contact me through my personal contact number mentioned below in case I need any help.

Band 6 IELTS Letter
Dear Sir,
I am writing to complain about my ID card being missing from yesterday's bus trip, which included my college bag. I have been an international student in the dental hygiene program at the university of Sydney since 2018. Because I usually stay with friends in an apartment, I have to travel by public transportation every day to get to class.
Today, when I was on the bus to college, someone stole my bag, which I put on another seat next to the competition. The bag contains all the necessary documents and my card. When I informed the public transport driver about the incident, he replied that I should go to the nearest police station. So, can you help me with this problem? Please inform me about the procedure to obtain a new ID badge. I have a copy of a stolen ID card, if that is enough to know all the information about me. Or otherwise, I am unable to provide all documents necessary for badge registration. I asked humbly to guide me through the entire process. I look forward to hearing positive news from you soon.
Thank You,
Henry Bair
