Topic: You had a minor accident in the kitchen of your rented apartment. Write a letter to your landlord explaining what had happened.
In your letter you have to explain what had happened, the extent of damage / problem and what you expect the landlord to do.

Model Answer 1

Dear Mr.Mehta,

This letter is to let you know that we had a little mishap in your apartment's kitchen. I want to fully describe what happened yesterday in my letter.
I used a pressure cooker yesterday to prepare some mutton. I had overfilled the cooker, inadvertently. The cooked mutton obstructed the vent, which caused an explosion. Fortunately, I was in my bedroom when the accident occurred, so I was unharmed. But the switchboard has burned, and the mutton spitting has damaged the wall.
Although everything is fine aside from these, the switch board's burning prevents the usage of any other appliances. I will soon need your assistance with this.
Since I am the one who caused this situation, I would like to offer to pay for the damages. It would be very kind of you to see us and learn what occurred so that you can respond appropriately right away.

Yours Sincerely,
Arjun

Model Answer 2

Dear Mr. Agnihotri,

I'm writing to express my regret for any damage I unintentionally did to the kitchen and to ask you to get it repaired as soon as possible. Sandy here; window town; apartment number 1123.
Last week, I moved into this flat from India. I started preparing paratha, an Indian flatbread, before I realized the smoke alarm system was in place. As I was attempting, smoke started to come out, and then the fire alarm began to sound nonstop. When I attempted to remove it in such circumstance out of terror, its screw snapped and it fell to the ground. As I am aware that using the kitchen without a smoke alarm is dangerous.
While the damages are not severe, they still require prompt treatment. You would be so wonderful if you could get this problem—which was brought on by me—fixed right now. You have my sincere thanks.
Regarding this topic, I kindly ask for your consideration.

Yours Sincerely,
Koustav

Model Answer 3

Dear Mr. Anil

I'm writing to express my regret for the harm I unintentionally did to the kitchen.
Your renter from unit 07 Western Street is myself, Mandeep Singh. I arrived at your residence from India around 15 days ago. The smoke alarm system was unknown to me. Indian flatbread called paratha, which requires some frying, is what I started making. The smoke alarm abruptly began to beep and would not stop. I frantically attempted to take it off, but the screw snapped and it came off.
Although the damage is not severe, it has to be fixed right away since using the kitchen without a smoke alarm would be dangerous.
If you could have this issue brought on by me, it would be really considerate of you. I'll take precautions to prevent similar mistakes in the future.
I'm hoping you'll give me some consideration.

Yours Sincerely,
Shravan
