Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. Traynor,

I hope everything is good with you and your family. I'm Louis Fabian, and last month I moved out of one of your flats on Jenkins Avenue after renting it from you for a year. Anyway, the reason I'm writing to you is that, despite the fact that I left the apartment in good shape, I didn't get the money I was supposed to get as a refundable deposit under the terms of the lease that I gave to you when I rented your flat.

Even while not receiving the refundable deposit from you is annoying in and of itself, the fact that you chose not to elaborate on any potential justifications for why I might not receive my deposit back irks me even more.

I believe that I have kept my end of the bargain by adhering to the terms and conditions of the agreement and therefore, I respectfully request you to pay my deposit in full. Otherwise, I will be left with no option but to seek legal advice if we are not able to resolve this matter as soon as possible. I hope that we resolve this problem amicably and maintain a good relationship. It is only fair that you immediately return my money to me since you did not provide me with any justification for why I should not be entitled to my deposit back. But if you are unwilling to work with me on this, I'm afraid I'll have to sue you so the situation can be resolved in court.

Yours sincerely,
Louisa Clark.

Band 6.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. Eric,

I sincerely hope all is ok with you. My name is Jessica, and I've lived in your Burberry Street flat for a year. On March 2nd, I moved out of room number 4F where I had previously resided. To the best of my knowledge, there were no complaints from your side. Before I left the flat, I asked you to check the room and let me know if there were any problems.

I requested you to return the $1,000 security deposit to me a week before you were supposed to vacate your flat, but you said you needed another two days. I'm contacting you now to remind you of your pledge and to express my expectation that you will honour your end of our agreement by returning the deposit money. The funds may be sent to my bank account, or you can phone and arrange for me to pick them up at your home or place of business. In the leasing agreement, my bank account information is listed.

Please refund the deposit money to me as soon as you can, please. I've been patiently waiting the additional two days you requested. I would be left with no choice but to file a lawsuit against you if you don't follow through on your promise of restitution. However, at the moment, I have debts to pay and I am in desperate need of money. In any other situation, I would understand your arguments for the delay. You should be able to comprehend, I hope.

Yours faithfully,
Jessica.

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. Willie,

I hope everything is okay with you and the family. I'm Ian Fleming, and I've taken a two-month lease on your apartment at 27A Jenkins Avenue. We both agreed that my $1500 deposit would be refunded when I left the apartment, in accordance with the rental agreement we both signed. Although I tried to get in touch with you twice to discuss this issue, I haven't been successful in doing so.

I requested that you send your assistant to the apartment the day after I left it in order to check for any repairs. As you are aware, your assistant arrived the following day and did just that. Your helper was entirely pleased with the flat's upkeep and condition after finishing the inspection. I hope you will promptly return my entire security deposit to me because I left the apartment in good condition in accordance with our rental agreement. Due to the fact that my college tuition is due the next week, I have an urgent need for money.

I genuinely hope that we can reach a fair resolution to this issue and uphold our cordial friendship. I would have no choice but to file a lawsuit against you if you keep providing me with inadequate information about the amount of my deposit, though.

I hope that you will refund me the deposit amount within the next three days to my bank account, the details of which are provided in the rental agreement. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,
Robinson.
