Letter to the Headmaster of Your Child’s School Regarding a School Trip Abroad IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. Candidates are asked to write a formal letter. Each of the three sample responses contains an introduction, a body, and a conclusion in three paragraphs. The letter must be brief and to the point.

Dear Sir,

I'm writing to let you know that I'm interested in being a part of the group that will travel with our kids during their school trip abroad. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could respond to my inquiries regarding your plans for this time period. When it comes to my prior experiences, I'd like to mention that I've been working as a tour guide for ten years and have a lot of knowledge in this field.

A fantastic time in Paris will be made possible by the fact that I currently speak French and Spanish. I will be able to collaborate with you during these three days by keeping an eye on schedules and activities. We'll have a pleasant journey if we do this. Additionally, I'd like to propose that we have a special last evening where we may host a supper outside and tell other people about the great days our group had. Last but not least, I have concerns regarding the kind of entertainment provided and the mandatory documentation. Dear Madam,

In order to find out the details of next month's international school camp, I am writing to you. I was initially overcome with happiness when I learned that parents are welcome to attend the event. Incorporating the guardians was undoubtedly a sensible move. As they are familiar with the dietary patterns of their children and can help ensure that no one gets sick during the camp.

Additionally, since their co-creators would be hosting them for a school event, the youngsters would be in awe. Second, I'd want to ask about the itinerary, such as the campground setup and what kind of gear is needed as Frankfurt's temperature varies throughout the day. As the majority of the population is young people, I also wanted to consider whether it is safe to bring pets along with you. After all, you don't want them to get scared. Along with these, kindly provide updates on the arrival and departure times of the trains as well as whether the itinerary has been set in stone. Thirdly, I want to reassure you that I cook delicious meals, especially for kids, so you can count on me to help a lot in the kitchen. Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir,

My son Steven informed me that you were searching for some parents to accompany the students on their trip to Japan. If there is still a spot open in the group, I'd want to volunteer to join. I've been studying Japanese for the past two years, and in July of next year, I'll take a test to see how proficient I am in the language.

It will test test-takers on speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Coincidentally, the school vacation is in Japan. So I'd want to use this as an opportunity to practise my Japanese and interact with the locals outside of the formal school travel schedule. I think I'll be able to support both the tour guide and the teacher who organised the trip. I can at the very least contribute to keeping an eye on the kids. As a nurse by trade, I am qualified to help if any of the group members require medical attention, but I sincerely hope that won't be necessary. So that I can arrange my leave from work, I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I may join the trip. If the itinerary is already published, could you also please let me know the specifics? I anticipate your response.
