Letter To The Family Describing The Things You Left Behind IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter-writing topic. Candidates need to write a letter to family describing things they left behind. Write to the family describing the things you left behind. Ask them to send some ar all of them to you. Offer to cover the costs.

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Mrs. Ledger,

I would like to inform you that I safely reached home last Tuesday. I would like to thank you for the nice and cozy hospitality and kindness that you simply and your family have rendered to me.It felt like I was living ay home with my own family. I am grateful for such heartwarming ambience and support towards me. As you're already aware that I used to be racing against the clock and rushing to catch my flight, I missed a few items at your place. It seems that I left a bag with my laptop, charger and a few books in my room.

I didn't know it at that point and it only occurred to me halfway through the flight. The books and therefore the laptop are utterly important for my research. Altogether, all of my work is saved on my laptop. I will highly appreciate it if you'll undergo the difficulty of sending me the bag with its contents through a courier. Kindly use the FedEx service as they're quick and reliable in my country. The approximate weight of the bag is going to be around five kilograms, and I would really like to touch the value of the courier. Kindly let me know the charges for the courier service so that I can provide you with the same. Please provide me with your bank details as I will be able to deposit the quantity into your account beforehand. I will be very appreciative to you for this act of arm heartedness and hence, request you to send them over to my home address which you already have. Many thanks once more.

Band 7.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Potter,

Hope this letter finds you in healthiness and spirit. You'll be glad to know that I even have reached home safely. I would like to state that my stay at your home was extremely special and loved everything that you did for me. From the food to the room I stayed in and the utmost love and warmth you all showered on me was really generous. I am definitely going to visit again soon enough and we shall have lots of fun again. Also, please know that you will always be in my thoughts and prayers for the kindness and great hospitality you've shown to me during my occupation of your home.

Anyway, I am writing this letter for asking a favour from you and is extremely urgent. If it's not an excessive amount of trouble for you, I need to first inform that I left some of my belongings at your place and would like you to send them over through courier services. There is a little bag of mine which I have accidentally left at your home before leaving Australia. This small bag is basically important to me since it contains some valuable possessions, like some important documents, a few gift items which you purchased for me , a couple of beautiful souvenirs, and a few beautiful pictures of my visits to different parts of Australia.Moreover, my medical reports are present in those bags and I need them to undergo an appendix operation for which all those reports are essential. Please search for this bag on the highest shelf of the wardrobe within the room, where I won't sleep and send it to me during a courier mail. I will be able to send a postal order to you to hide the courier cost as soon as I receive the bag.

Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Trump,

I hope you're all well. The flight home seemed very long but my family all came to satisfy me at the airport, which was fantastic. Many thanks to you for having me - I enjoyed my time with you considerably. I loved how welcoming you and your family had been for the last six months that I spent with you. I express my gratitude for attempting to cook Indian food for me.

The warm gesture of your family made me feel home-like and nor for onece did I feel homesick. I was able to ensure that I worl through all the requirements although I did something that I forgot. However, I have a favor to ask. Once I got home, I realized that I had left a little black handbag in my bedroom. You’ll recall that I bought myself a replacement bag while I used to be in Sydney and I am pretty sure I put the old one under the bed.

I don't actually need the bag but a number of the items inside are of sentimental value and I would be very grateful if you'll send them to me. There’s a red address book, a little leather wallet with some photos, and a silver necklace. None of the opposite things are important so please don't be concerned about them. Could you please let me know how much the postage is and that I will send you the cash to hide the value.Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Many thanks once more for your help.
