Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Amit,

I am writing this letter to inform you of the incorrect information about the Museum in my city, GHC Kuala Lumpur. I am an avid reader of your travel magazine but I was surprised to read the incorrect information about the museum in my city while reading it yesterday. I thank you without hesitation for explaining everything in the first explanation. And I think it was my good intention that you presented the truthful information. However, the information about the building was fake. You said that the building is dilapidated and cannot be demolished anytime soon. Also, there is only one person employed to manage the museum but this is totally false information and in fact there are employees in charge of it. Could you please repost the authentic information?

Otherwise, fewer people will visit the museum and it will have a negative impact on the tourism industry as it is one of the most famous museums in the entire district. I hope you can look into this issue and resolve it as soon as possible.

Yours Faithfully

Dear Sir,

Your newspaper is one of the most popular daily papers in our country and I enjoy reading it as it provides some truly remarkable news and information. I especially enjoy reading your articles section where you write great articles about the lives of people who have contributed to our society in one way or another at some point in their lives.

However, a few weeks ago, when I read about the life of such a person in your articles section on April 17, 2019, I unexpectedly discovered some factual errors. In fact, the person you wrote about is my distant relative and coincidentally I have known him for almost 20 years. And I also know that he was never "relieved" from duty for "misconduct" at work, but rather he simply chose to leave his job almost 10 years ago because he was suffering from a chronic illness. I hope the error was not intentional.

Therefore, I would like to ask you to correct the mistake and to ensure that such a mistake does not occur again in the future.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,
Roger McClain

Dear Editor,

I am writing to you regarding the June issue of Adventures Around the World magazine. As a regular reader, I am always pleased with the content. However, in the above edition, I discovered an error regarding the Apple Festival, which is scheduled to take place in my hometown of Almaty from August 5th to 21st. Unfortunately, the article describing the festival lists the incorrect dates of the festival (August 22nd to 31st). Therefore, this will undoubtedly have a negative impact on local tourism and sales, as tourists will not come until it is all over. Of course, foreigners may be annoyed if they miss this festival, as it is so colorful and attractive, since "Apor" is one of the best apple varieties in Central Asia. Local accommodation owners may also be disappointed by the lack of tourists during the festival, resulting in lost profits.

Could you please include the correct information in the July issue of the magazine?

I think it would be helpful, especially if you add a special note that it is a correction of previous misleading information. I would also recommend checking the important dates again before future printings of the magazine.

Thank you very much.
