Band 8 IELTS Letter

Esteemed Sir/Madam:

With regard to a Smartphone acquired from your retail outlet, I pen this letter. Located in West Delhi, On 13/09/2018, I made a purchase; consequentially receiving both a bill and warranty card.

The following day, the phone's screen grew blurry; abruptly, it switched off. Undeniably, having invested a substantial amount of money on this phone; I felt no inclination towards risk—absolutely or otherwise. Immediately, I took the risks and returned it to the store; however, at that time - a crucial moment-the technician was absent.

I was asked to drop the phone and follow up later; time, indeed, was essential.

My complaint carries the reference number B57921; instead of receiving information about it, I was left in uncertainty.

After enduring five days of uncertainty with my phone, I took it upon myself to visit the store: a quest for answers and resolution. The services offered to me were quite poor; They managed to provide a lucid explanation regarding the faults of the phone; moreover, they temporarily fixed it.

The following day, the phone broke again; I'm uncertain--even apprehensive--about acquiring the same model. For a company of your magnitude: the services leave much to be desired, moreover, the quality of the handset falls short of the mark.

I regret expressing my severe disappointment with the product; thus, I kindly request you to issue a full refund, an action that would significantly appease this situation.

Yours Sincerely

Karan

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Sir/Madam,

My name is Wesley Phillip from Boston, USA. I am writing to advise that, on July 20th - three days ago - I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A23 mobile phone from your online store. Today it arrived at my doorstep, and I was quite looking forward to using it. Only to be extremely disappointed when I discovered the product was faulty and not what I had ordered! Please replace this immediately.

As for details of the order itself, I bought this handset through your website called Phone and Gadgets last Saturday via my PayPal account under order number: 56900145. See attached receipt, please.

The issue is with the phone, as its front camera does not work and internal memory is 64 GB and I had ordered a 128 GB phone. But the detailed description of your site about the product clearly shows it is a 128 GB phone; so I am sure this must be a mistake which has been made by you while dispatching that kind of product.

As a solution, and because I really like this specific model, I am hoping that you will agree to replace the phone according to the specification of the order. Otherwise, I would like a full refund and I will be contacting PayPal complaints if I do not hear back from you in regards to this within a week.

Thank you for giving the matter your attention and I hope to hear your reply soon.

Yours faithfully,

Wesley Phillip

Band 6 IELTS Letter

Sir/Madam,

I recently acquired an iPhone (14 Plus, 4 GB/128 GB, black hue) through your digital emporium and to my profound dismay, upon unraveling the package, I discovered a defective device rather than an immaculate and novel one. I anticipate your prompt replacement.

I, Sarah Liam of Edmonton, Alberta, placed an order on your esteemed e-commerce platform on the 14th of January in the year 2023. This transaction was conducted using my VISA credit card and resulted in an assigned order number STR-4546514. Upon receiving the package at my residence the following day, I discerned with dismay that a faulty phone had been delivered to me as opposed to its intended working condition.

The phone screen exhibits apparent scratch marks, an improbable occurrence. Despite my request for a 128 GB phone, the internal memory of the device is merely limited to 64 GB. This oversight presumably emanates from your delivery department. The phone severed its connection after a few minutes, intensifying my sense of dismay.

I would appreciate an explanation as to why I received a defective product despite not having paid for a faulty or refurbished phone. Furthermore, I expect your company to arrange the replacement of my device at my current location in order to avoid inconveniences caused by traveling to your office.

With this letter, I am enclosing a duplicate of my order confirmation email and receipt for your gracious deliberation.

Yours faithfully

Sarah Liam
