Topic: You recently flew with an airline and had a problem with the food on the plane. Write a letter to the company.

In your letter
- give the details of the flight
- explain what the problem with the food was
- say what the airline should do about it.

Model Answer 1

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am writing this letter to bring it to your kind attention about the food that was served to us during the flight. I am XYZ, and I took a flight from Chandigarh to Singapore last week. My flight number was AT0359 and my seat number was C40.

I would like to tell you that the services provided during the journey were not so good. I am a pure vegetarian and I ordered the veg food in the flight and asked the attendant to serve me the food. The attendant was very careless and was not paying attention to my problem as I needed the food that time because I had to take my medicines. The food was served one hour later and it was a non- vegetarian meal. When I complained to the staff regarding this, they said that I had ordered the non- vegetarian food and started arguing with me. After clearing their confusion, they served me vegetarian food and the food was not at all tasty and it seemed like the food was not fresh. I did not eat anything during the entire journey due to which I felt nauseated.

Therefore, I request you to check the whole matter with the crew staff and I want the airline to refund me the amount of money deducted for the meals as compensation. Also, the airline should check the food before serving it to the people. Hoping to see your reply soon.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing this to inform you about the unpleasant experience I had during the recent flight I made with your airline company.

It happened last week, when I flew from Delhi to Paris on flight number AR2706 for a business meeting. I was seated on seat number S59, in the business class cabin.

After half an hour of the take-off, the cabin crew approached the passengers with breakfast. I chose a vegetarian dish. When I opened the food, the food was not looking fresh and it was not served hot. On complaining to the serving person, he started arguing with me and talking nonsense with me. They didn’t listen to any of the passengers available in that flight.

It was really a bad experience traveling via your airline company. It would be highly appreciated if you could upgrade the service standards of your cabin crew.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have been a satisfied customer of your Airline company for many years, flying frequently from Chandigarh to all points around the country. However, I am writing this letter to complain about the extremely unsatisfactory service I got while I flew last time from Delhi to Goa.

The cabin crew on flight number 5927, from Delhi to Goa, last week, was very rude and was speaking rubbish. My wife's request for water from the attendant in the flight and they responded so badly that we were not able to ask for any other help from them again. Our requests for pillows and blankets were also ignored. Food and drinks were also served very late very rudely and served cold food and unfresh food.

I did not write down the names of the attendants. I am sure you can find them from your records. You should either change the crew members or reprimand them severely. The another unpleasant flight will probably be the last one for me with your company.
