Letter to the Agency About Leaving the Flat Early IELTS General Writing Task 1. The candidates are required to address the agent for moving out of flat. The letter follows semi-formal approach. The letter contains three model answers that have three paragraphs namely the introduction , body, and conclusion. The letter must be clear and to the point.
IELTS General Writing Task 1 includes letter writing. It might be in formal, informal, or semi-formal patterns. Candidates need to complete the task within 20 minutes. Band 6.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Surbhi Sudan. I have been renting the flat in Northern street for nearly 10 months. As you are aware that I have paid the rent on time and never delayed it by even one day. I have maintained the furniture carefully and with responsibility. I have also taken care of the vegetation and beautiful flowers around the flat.

I loved the flat at first sight due to its peaceful surroundings and environment. I have maintained proper hygiene around the surroundings. But I might not be able to stay for 12 months as per the contract. The contract was signed for a minimum of 12 months. But I will have to leave the flat immediately. I have completed 10 months and paid the rent in advance along with security pay. But due to health issues faced by my parents living in my hometown, Norway. I will have to urgently shift there. I have to quit my job as well to take care of them. I am very grateful for your help. You made me find such a beautiful flat. However, I would not be able to stay for the last 2 months of the contract.

My friend might be able to continue the contract. This will ensure that the flat will not remain empty without a tenant. My friend lives nearby and she is moving out of her current flat. I will make sure she contacts you regarding the same.

I apologise for not standing up to the contract and I will have to break the contract. I hope you will consider my genuine problem.

Band 7.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Shane Page. I have been renting the flat in Broadway Street for nearly 10 months. I have been a punctual tenant. I paid my rent on time without delaying it by even one day. I have maintained the furniture carefully and maintained hygiene as well around the surroundings. I have paid full attention to the cleanliness of the building and flat.

I have taken care of the plants in the flat. It might be disappointing to inform you that I would not be able to complete the further two months. The primary reason is because I have been transferred to Germany from my organisation and I have to shift by next month. I am obligated by the rules of the company and I need to shift immediately. I, however, understand the conern for the last two months rent which is essential as per the contract. I would like to state that I have paid the rent for the 10th month and paid the electricity bill as well. A friend of mine is looking for a flat and wants to move as soon as possible in Broadway Street which is near to her workplace. In place of me, my friend would be able to continue with my existing contract and further, after te completion of 12 months, it would be possible to renew the contract under her name. She loves the area of the flat as well as the entire house which is well organised and would love to move into it. Kindly take her tenancy under consideration. I apologise for the inconvenience caused and for having to break the contract.

I have never given any reason for complaint to the neighbourhood as well as you. But I apologise for letting you know that I might not be able to continue for another 2 months. I got a promotion from my company to Bengaluru. I am shifting immediately due to a big project launch. My accommodation has been arranged by the company. So, it would be a loss for me if I stay here for another 2 months. I have paid the rent as well as electricity bill for 10 months. However, I would not like to leave the flat empty. So, my friend was looking for a flat lately. She visited my flat several times and she quite liked it. She always considered it beautiful. She loved the peaceful atmosphere it offers. Also, the vegetation around fascinates her. She will be contacting you soon regarding the same. Thank you for helping me find this flat at my difficult times.
