Write a Letter to Your Friend about Hosting a Party for a Special Occasion and Preparing A Meal For The Same IELTS Writing Task 1 is a letter writing task and we have provided 3 different answers. Candidates must write the letter to their friend in an informal manner. The candidate has to request their friend to provide a recipe special to his/her country. In order to ensure its memorability, we plan on serving a delectable meal and following it up with a refreshing welcome drink. Honestly, we have not met in a considerable amount of time: you are my childhood friend. To fortify our bond, to underscore its significance, it becomes imperative to commemorate every occasion. As you may be aware; I have submitted an application for a visa with intentions to emigrate abroad. Recently, I obtained my visa; consequently, I am contemplating an international relocation. Therefore - in light of this exciting happiness- it seems fitting to celebrate with you: a day dedicated to reviewing cherished memories.

Can you help me with a dessert recipe as well as what I should prepare ? You know, I lack cooking skills so it would be a good idea if we cook both. I will organize it next weekend. So if you need any ingredients, make a list at and send it to me. I will buy everything to avoid the last minute rush. It would be great if you could arrive two days before the party.
