Letter to Accommodation Officer for a Short Course To A Training College Abroad IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. The letter needs to address the accommodation officer regarding a short course that you want to take to a training college abroad. Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Mary James and am an exchange candidate for your intensive short-term English course for non-native students that is going to start on the 21st of next month. I am very glad to join the course. I am hopeful of finishing the program very well. My native place is about 500 km from your camps. I will need some accommodation. I am writing this letter to enquire about my accommodation on your campus.
I am very thankful to get a notice from your side. Yesterday, I received an email from the English course manager of your Institution. He wanted me to urgently send my incoming travel schedule and required accommodation model and preference to me. In this regard, I would like to inform you that I need a single room accommodation with a private bathroom and reading table. The room should be within a short walking distance of the school. I can also share a house or an apartment with other students belonging to the same course. But, I need to keep my privacy within the four corners of my room. As per my travel schedule, I am going to arrive in the city just two days before the classes start and leave the next day, just right after all my classes conclude.
If the accommodation is far away, I would like to know the exact distance and the means of commuting from the given accommodation to the institute. Anyhow If I have to walk to school, it would be appreciable. Please provide me with the details of my accommodation with its complete address and map so that I can look it up and reach there easily without anyone’s help. This will also be very helpful in finding the best short-cut route to the room and also the institute. As I have already mentioned above, it would be excellent if I could just get to school by walking. Or else, I would like to have some affordable public transport system that I can use comfortably.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am very glad to get admission into your Project Management Course. I am writing this email in advance to inform you about my attending the Project Management course. The project management course would surely help me gain knowledge of how successful projects are organized and administered as a professional. I could also learn about project life cycles in this course. I will get tools and techniques for structured planning, how to manage frequent changes and risks, and how to manage stakeholder expectations in the business.
The course is going to be held at your S.V. University from August 1st to September 30th, 2022. I would also like to describe the type of accommodation and distance from the institute I shall prefer. Undoubtedly the university campus is one of the best colleges known for its greenery. So, I prefer accommodation on the campus itself. As per academics the faculty is well experienced and the project labs are well equipped with all the requirements of the students like me, and as per placements are considered it is very good. The hostel is good on the campus. All is well if I get accommodation on the campus.
I will be arriving on July 25th at 5 PM, a few days before the first day of my programme. This is to take myself some relaxation period to get used to the local climate and weather conditions. As for the accommodation, I would mostly prefer a single bedroom with an attached bathroom and washroom. If that kind of accommodation is not available, then I would like to live in a shared room with a good company taking the same course as mine. Besides that, I need a peaceful and tranquil location to concentrate well on my studies and projects. So that I would really come up successful in completing the programme and getting the certificate with distinction.
As I cannot afford a car; I just need some kind of public transport system to commute to and fro university. I will also need a route map of the local transport system before reaching the destination so that I can get some idea about the city.

I am very thankful to get admission into the Management Skill Development course at your University of Toronto. I am writing a letter to you regarding accommodation for the short term in your hostel at the hotel. At present, I am pursuing an MBA degree at Osmania University. I have been selected for the short course on management skills at your university. My short course is going to start on 1st August and will end on 31st October. I will be in Canada on 25 July and I will be leaving on 2nd November 2022.
As per the academics, I am fully satisfied with the course content and the university faculty. In the course programme, I will definitely improve my Interpersonal skills, Communication and motivation, Organization and delegation. Also, Forward planning and strategic thinking, Problem-solving and decision-making, Commercial awareness, and Mentoring. As per the university, it is the university to pursue the programme with a focus on the above skills.
I will need accommodation starting from 25th July to 2nd November. The accommodation should have a separate and independent bathroom, toilet and study room. It would be welcome if a student of the stream like mine lived with me. He should be of my nativity, preferably. The room should be on the campus in a serene atmosphere for the convenience of studies, research, and project works. As my short-term course needs close proximity to all the facilities available on the campus.
I also required more information about transportation from college to the room, if it is away from the college campus. I need a route map and public transport services. I would like to know whether the university department is providing any transport facility for day scholars.
