Letter to a Neighbour Inviting to a Party in Your New Home IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter-writing topic. Candidates are required to address the company in an informal tone. Topic: You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter:

• introduce yourself
• describe your plans for the party
• invite your neighbour to come

Dear Neighbour,
I hope you and your family are keeping well. I am ABC. I have just moved to the home next to yours. I live with my husband, children, and in-laws. We are initially from Jaipur. This is the first time we have come to Delhi and bought a house for ourselves. We have planned to hold a party at our place to celebrate the occasion and meet the people around us to get to know them better. We would appreciate it if you and your family could make it to the party.
The celebration will start at 7:00 pm on July 10, 2022. Please be there maximum by 6:50 pm. The theme of the party is western and the dress code is black and red. Along with music and dance, we have planned some fun activities as well. For children, we have also called a magician, who will surprise us with his tricks. Welcome snacks will be served with some drinks and afterward, we will have dinner together where we can get to know each other better. The menu will have both veg and non-veg Indian dishes. For kids, we will have a different food counter which will serve less spicy and nutritious food. After dinner, we will have a small cake cutting ceremony to mark the occasion and add more sweetness to our lives. This will end the beautiful evening but will start a beautiful journey. I hope you will love the arrangements and we all will have a great time together. There will be around twenty-five people including my children’s classmates at the party. We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by us. We will ensure that you do not get disturbed because of the noises from the party.
