Letter To a Friend Who Has Invited You For a Meal With Their Family IELTS Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. The letter follows an informal approach. The candidate has to address his/her friend and thank them for the meal they had at their home. Also mention what you enjoyed and invite them to your home for dinner. It contains three model answers that have three paragraphs namely the introduction, body, and conclusion. The letter must be clear and to the point.

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Charlotte,

How are you? I hope you are good. I just had to write you a note of appreciation for having me around for supper the other night. I was delighted to meet your family and truly felt at home.

It had truly been a wonderful feast. The cuisine was excellent, especially the lentil stew, and the rice pudding served as dessert was the cherry on top.

Such a classic dish would satisfy my longing for it. On my next visit, your mother has promised to cook her creative pizzas, which would tantalize my taste buds.

Additionally, the garden beside your home's front door provides a lovely outlook. I felt impelled to take some pictures there. I was overjoyed to go there for a sumptuous dinner. My day was made by the fountain in the middle of the garden and the lighting on the trees.

Will you come with me to the JKL Hotel, known for its excellent services, on any day? You and your other family are cordially invited to a little gathering that I will be hosting there. Such gatherings, in my opinion, are necessary for amassing pleasant memories. You will meet my family on that day as part of an effort to forge a friendship between our two families.

I hope all is well. I appreciate you inviting me to your home for supper, which I really liked. The pizza your mom provided was the best homemade pizza I've ever tasted, and the food was also absolutely amazing. The soup your mom made reminded me of my mother’s food. I felt like home.

I didn't have many ties because I had only recently come to Singapore. But I would say that because of the way your parents treated me, I felt at home right away. While returning home I felt really emotional for the amazing treatment and love I got from your family. The love and connection made me feel that I am not alone. The love of your mom towards me waa very heart touching. The way she told me to consider her my own mother was really heartfelt.

In addition, I loved the setting of your home as well as your mom's amazing cooking abilities. Given that it is centrally located and offers a variety of public transportation alternatives, I might say it is ideal. Additionally, your house has a beautiful rear orchid garden and is extremely roomy.

However, because you were kind enough to extend the invitation and treat me to a delicious lunch. I would like to request that we get together for supper at my preferred restaurant this upcoming weekend. I will be sending you the full address soon. Let me know your preferred day.
