Letter to a Friend IELTS General Writing Task 1. The candidates are required to address their friend. The letter follows an informal approach. The letter contains three model answers that have three paragraphs namely the introduction , body, and conclusion. The letter must be clear and to the point.
IELTS General Writing Task 1 includes letter writing. It might be in formal, informal, or semi-formal patterns. Candidates need to complete the task within 20 minutes. IELTS Writing Practice Papers can be considered for the students' writing section preparation and enhance their writing skills effectively. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9.

Band 6 IELTS Letter

Dear Sarah.
I'm so happy I found you while I was away, a friend I can trust. After receiving my diploma, I have no idea how my life will be. If not for you, I could have felt excluded. Thank you so much for being here, I found you. After several months of communication and writing, one thing is certain. Our tastes and passions are similar. Finding a friend who enjoys the same things you do and has similar interests is amazing. Your letters to me and your appreciation of each action I made are both greatly appreciated.

I'm so glad you agreed to be my pen pal. I am virtually entirely familiar with both your family and you. Additionally, getting to know one another strengthens and impresses the bond between two people. You also help me become a better person. Every time I write to you, I get a chance to work on my weaknesses and become a better version of myself.
I was considering beginning the new series now that I have finished my English and Literature course. I want to start viewing it with you. I want to do stuff with you so that we can have fun together.
We've come a long way, and we're eager to see you now. Stay connected and keep writing. I love your company. I hope we meet soon. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Tell me about yourself. Hope everything is ok with you. Last night, I got your letter. Hearing that you've been accepted to Longford University in Columbia makes me very happy. More than anything, I am thrilled to see you again. You probably already know that I live close to your university. I have heard a lot about the university, and it is truly fantastic. Huge and providing the highest education, the campus is enormous.

I understand from what you said that you're looking for a rental or apartment. You are welcome to move in with me if you like. My ability to pay the rent gets challenging because I rent an apartment alone. It would be fantastic to live in the apartment with someone I know, and it would make it easier for you to adjust to the neighbourhood. You could move to the city with my assistance. Together, we'll have a lot of fun and it will also enable us to split the rent costs. You don't need to be concerned about the meal because I am a trained chef. It would be fantastic to live with you and have a good time. It would also be a relief to your parents to know that you will be staying with me. The apartment I adore has a stunning beach view. It is possible to stroll to the university. Malls and stores abound throughout the area. It's a place you'll adore.

Dear Shantanu,
How have you been? I hope you are in good health. I received your letter last week. Due to my hectic day routine, I was unable to read your letter and reply to it. But I am doing it now. I am thrilled and excited by the news that you are visiting India next month. I am very delighted as it's almost been three years since I last saw you. However, you never made me feel departed from you. You always write letters to me from time to time and on every occasion. But we will have so much fun when you arrive here. I will make you feel enjoyed and entertained.

We will explore Delhi. Also there are many museums and monuments of your interest. As I am aware of the fact that you are very interested in exploring the old architecture and buildings. We will explore many new places in Delhi. There are few places which I was thinking of visiting lately but needed a companion. Now, it would be great to visit those places with you.
You don't have to book any hotel. You will be staying with me. As you are aware that I live alone in a flat. There is an extra room which is empty. We will love each other and have a great time together. I cook delicious food and you might be missing my food. So, I will cook for you. We will have movie nights and casino nights. Late night parties as well. I will make you meet my colleagues.
Let me know the date and time of your flight. I will be coming to pick you up from the airport.
