Letter to a Friend About Moving to a New House IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter-writing topic. It contains three model answers that have three paragraphs namely the introduction, body, and conclusion. The letter must be clear and to the point.

Band 7 IELTS Letter
Dear Alexa,
We have had a wonderful evening last month at your place. It was really fun and I cannot thank you more for having us amid your busy schedule. I have recently moved to a new apartment in Belmont and would like you to visit us anytime you hangout.
We have long been planning to move to Belmont but could not do so due to the location of my office and David’s preference of the area. I had been transferred to the Belmont office last month and we thought this would be the best time we shift our house there.
We have moved to a large flat in Belmont and we are very happy with the view we get from the balcony. It has 3 bedrooms, a large dining area, and a reading room. It is located on the 7th floor and we enjoy sufficient airflow. The bedrooms are spacious and all the rooms have an attached bathroom and balcony. Besides, we can enjoy many amenities including convenient underground car parking, a fitness center, modern security, and an attractive courtyard for hosting the guests. This is a perfect match for our needs and we are lucky to get it within our budget.
I would love to have you, Mark, and your kids among us soon. Please make a schedule to visit us and I am sure we will enjoy it as much as we did last time.

Band 8 IELTS Letter
Dear Erena,
I’m just writing to let you know that I shifted to a new house two months ago. The house is so amazing and full of daylight and an airy atmosphere. I am so excited for you to come and join me here someday.
I had been awaiting promotion for a long time and now I have been promoted as a General Manager in the newly opened branch of my company. The new office is a long way away from the house where I lived earlier. The long way made me very tired and so I decided to move to a new place.
I’m now living in a fully furnished brand new house. It has a large living room, a modular kitchen, two cozy bedrooms, and especially a spacious parking area. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, which I love the most and wished for a long time. The balcony is very attractive which I prefer every time I return from office to home as I relax there after a long busy day. I am comfortable living here because of the easy access to the office and other amenities.
So, when are we going to meet up? If you have time next weekend please come with your family. We will have lunch and spend some quality time together. Keep in tune.

Band 5.5 IELTS Letter
Dear Sherryl,
I was really glad to receive your letter yesterday. As you might be aware that I discussed moving my house from Park Street to West Avenue last time we had met. Let me give the good news that I have finally found my space in a much better place called Pak Exotica on Ocean Road. Though this place is a little secluded from the city its approach is far better.
In addition to this, my home is just a 20 min drive from my workplace. In fact, this is the main reason I have moved here. AT first, I was a bit reluctant in taking up the house as I had been living in Park Plaza All my life but let me tell you the people in my society and the overall aura of the place has made me an insider from a stranger.
My house is on the 8th floor and is fully equipped with kitchen accessories and a 24-hour helpline for any sought of needs. It has 2 bedrooms, a large dining area, and a lobby. The bedrooms are spacious and all the rooms have attached balconies. Besides, we can enjoy many amenities including convenient underground car parking, swimming pool.
You have to personally come and visit my place to actually live my experience. Please make a plan in these summer vacations to come and stay with me and have an outstanding experience.
