Letter To A Friend About An Upcoming Event In Your Town IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter writing topic. The letter needs to address the a friend who would take part in the public event. It contains three model answers that have three paragraphs namely the introduction, body, and conclusion. The letter must be clear and to the point. 

IELTS General Writing Task 1 includes letter writing either in formal, informal, or semi-formal patterns. Candidates need to complete the task within 20 minutes. Students can consider their preparation for the writings section from the IELTS Writing Practice Papers and enhance their writing skills effectively. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9.

Topic: There is a public event coming up in your town. Write a letter to your friend who you think would be interested to take part in it.

In your letter, you should say:

• describe the event
• say why you think he/she would be interested
• suggest an arrangement to meet there with him/he.

Dear Kunal,

It's been a long time since I have written a letter addressed to you. I hope this letter finds you in good health and I can already imagine how glad you will be after receiving this letter. You will be the happiest when you start reading this letter. This letter is to invite you to a big Apple event that is being held in Delhi and it will continue for 2 days straight. The major features that are highlights of this event are apple-based products, orchard tours and travel, and the Apple Queen contest. This event will showcase and serve products based on traditional Himachal cuisine and apple-based bakery products for 2 days straight.

The event is organized to influence and attract more tourists and further improve and develop the status of the Apple industry in Shimla. I felt it would be suitable for you to attend because you are pursuing your bachelor's degree in tourism.

You do not need to be concerned about your stay here. I'll come to pick you up from the train station. Together, we can have a terrific time. All you have to do now is purchase a plane ticket. I'm looking forward to seeing you!

I’m so thrilled to disclose to you that our favorite disc jockey is about to make a visit to an event that is being organized in Mumbai next month.
The venue for this event is a cricket stadium which will be spacious enough and help us enjoy the music in a better environment. Moreover, he’ll be performing for two consecutive days from 1st-2nd May. The event will commence at 6:30 in the evening and will continue until three hours on both the mentioned dates. However, I would like to inform you that there will be other performers as well at the event. I suggest we get our tickets booked for only the slot of Marshmallow which will begin from 8:30 pm.

I recall you saying once that you wanted to see his show but couldn't due to your schoolwork. Now that you've completed your degree, you may pursue your ambition. Keeping that in mind, I've already purchased two tickets, so there's no way I'll be able to change my mind.

The stadium is also close to a metro station, which will make our journey much easier. As a result, you may come straight to my house and we'll go from there.
