Letter to a Friend About a Book that I have Recently Read IELTS General Writing Task 1 is a letter-writing topic. Dear Simran,

Hope you are doing well in life. I have been busy in my life with my study schedule and have not been able to write in a while. I am writing this letter to tell you about a book I recently read considering that you’re a book lover yourself.
The book that I read recently is Brida by Paulo Coelho which has touched my heart immensely. It is a book about how Brida sets on her search for a soulmate and has to go through different paths, trying to know about her past lives. The book precisely indicates how one might find his/her soulmate in someone and yet, be in love with someone else. While the person one falls in love with might be different, the soulmate of the person in every birth remains the same and one will always find a way to his/her soulmate. I want you to read this book because I feel it would make me connect with the character of Brida as much as I did.

On the way, he falls in love with a woman named Fatima, who he proposes to marry and while she asks him to fulfill his destiny which would lead her to marry him, he understands that true love never stops for someone nor does one have to sacrifice its life for it.
This is a book which has truly moved me in terms of understanding the perspectives in life and how much it is important for a person to fulfill life's purpose and not do anything to stop them. I recommend this book to you so that you find solace in the life you’re leading and fulfill your destiny.
