Band 6 IELTS Letter

Dear Jim,

I'm sending you this letter to express my regret for missing your farewell party and to let you know why. Unavoidable circumstances prevented me from going to the party. My father experienced cardiac arrest on that particular day, as you were aware of his illness. I can't even begin to express how anxious I felt at the moment.

We hurried to the nearest hospital with my family, but there was no doctor on duty. Finally, after approximately 30 minutes of searching, we located a doctor. After being admitted to hospital ABC, he spent the entire day being critically observed. He was let go on the next day. I will always have wonderful memories of you, though. I can still clearly recall the day that we both started our first jobs. During that period, we have developed invaluable experience, and I think we have gotten to know each other well. We will continue to communicate in the future. You have my phone number and email address, among other contact information. However, if you would like to visit my home at any time, feel free to contact me by phone or email as well. The same applies to me. I sincerely hope you will pardon me and wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavours.

Yours Faithfully,

Ray

Band 6.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Allen,

I'm sorry I won't be able to be at your farewell party, and I'm writing to express my regret. First and foremost, congrats on your new position; I had no doubt you'd get it. I was overcome with sadness when I learned of your transfer because we will no longer be sharing the same cell.

My wife is currently receiving treatment in the hospital for a minor ailment, therefore I will be missing the farewell party. She needs my total assistance and attention at this vital time. Her recovery time is going to be about a week. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful life in the future. Our time together is something I'll always remember. You've taught me a lot about how to succeed in life, too, including the importance of being on time, persevering, and being dedicated. You've always been a huge source of encouragement and inspiration for me. Through phone calls and emails, we'll stay in touch frequently. You are always welcome to pay me a visit to my home. I would adore having you and your family here for a delicious dinner soon. Please let us know as soon as possible about your updated contact information. Please accept my deepest apologies once more. I'm hoping to hear from you shortly

Sincerely,

Joshua

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Brian,

The news of your promotion and subsequent transfer, as well as the fact that you are leaving us all, caused me to experience a range of emotions. Thank you for including me in your farewell celebration. However, I must unfortunately let you know that due to a prior obligation, I will be unable to attend that day.

My first cousin's marriage ceremony happens to be on the same day. I can't skip out on it because it's a family event. As part of the plans for that day, I am actively involved. Any other event might have been ignored or rescheduled, but I simply cannot skip this one. Anyway, I hope you have a great life. I'll always remember the good times we had in the office, no matter how much time has passed. You've taught me how to carefully schedule my time, so thank you. Your friendship, wisdom, and guidance have always been there for me. Through phone and email, I'll always stay in touch. I'm hoping for the best for you in the future. You were a fantastic coworker who was really more of a friend. Please let me know when you are available, and we'll set up an informal meeting. I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,

Edward
