Dear sir,

I bought this stereo in January [Invoice No: 12345]. In just two days, it began to cause issues. The first problem was the CD drawer that would open and close very fast. I almost got my finger stuck in it. I copied a CD onto a cassette. All functioned fine except the sound was terrible. On the following day, the CD pause button stopped working. Of course, I gave back the stereo to you for fixing. Your helper told me that I must wait for just one week. But after two weeks, they still didn't get the required spare parts. Finally, after nine weeks I got my stereo back. The CD player was functioning well but still no improvement in recording quality. I am not happy with the equipment or service I have been given.

So, I am writing to demand a complete reimbursement. On Monday, I will bring the stereo back to your shop and anticipate receiving a cheque for 250 pounds.

Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear sir,

I write to communicate my dissatisfaction with the stereo system that I bought from your department store. I am a big fan of your company and have been buying its products for many years. This is not the regular quality that I'm used to from you. However, on 17/07 I bought one item from your company's online shop and found out with shock that the switch button of the stereo system didn't work properly so it was hard for me to switch it off.

 After receiving those, what happened made me feel horrified; the first time while tried to use the stereo system which came along these goods turned out to have problems related to switching functions- it became difficult to switch them off. For several years now, I have been consistently delighted by all purchases made from your esteemed store. The quality of the speakers was not up to par. It produces defective sounds. The most visible problem is that when I opened the box it did not have a plug-in wire, as its place in the box was empty.

I anticipated a superior standard of assistance from your firm and I am very let down by the product. This is why I am sending back the stereo system for a complete reimbursement with no replacement for this product.

Band 6 IELTS Letter

Dear sir,

I am writing this to express my unhappiness about a stereo system I bought from your store. I purchased the brand new stereo system on 18 June. But, it started having problems almost right away after being set up.

The main problem is with the sound. Even after many adjustments, it's still not clear and has distortion in it. Also, there is difficulty in reading CDs for this player as they skip tracks or refuse to play altogether at times. Furthermore, there is also an issue with the Bluetooth connection. It often gets disconnected even when the device is nearby.

Problems that persist require a proper solution, so I am asking for the stereo system to be fully refunded. I have been your store's customer for a long time and it is disappointing to have this experience with you. Please solve this matter quickly. You can see enclosed the receipt and original packaging which confirms my purchase.

Please inform me what steps I should take for the refund. I eagerly await your quick answer and solution.
