Topic: Many people believe that lecture halls have been replaced by online learning. To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

The majority of people in this day and age believe that online learning has revolutionized lecture rooms. I completely reject this criteria. Because close friendships and the lack of distractions in lecture rooms make them more advantageous than online learning.

Starting with this assertion, there are a number of benefits to studying in lecture halls. It can first and mainly result in close relationships with peers. To be more specific, students who study online generally enroll in universities. Friendship bonds deteriorate as a result. However, going to lectures in a lecture hall helps build new kinds of ideas as well as strong bonds. The subjects can be discussed by students in the lecture hall with their friends. As a result, the issues are easier for them to understand. As a result, the student's knowledge expands as a result of regular discussions on various themes.

With the emergence of the internet as well as its globalization, gifted individuals from developing nations. Who previously had no way to apply to prominent universities overseas can now benefit from taking online lessons from knowledgeable professors. Additionally, adults who work in businesses can complete the programs in their spare time.

Additionally, students may divert from their academics in online lectures. To clarify, students use the internet and their smartphones or laptops to conduct online coursework. They may occasionally become distracted by various messages, which causes them to perform worse on exams. In India, where there was a pandemic, all schools were closed, and students took classes online. Around 70% of these students received passing grades on their final exams. If they may fail in tests, pupils are left with no options for their career. Therefore, lecture rooms are more effective at educating students.

To summarize, this idea has various advantages over lecture rooms. Including strong friendship bonds, more knowledge, and increased attention on studies without interruption.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

There is a claim that instruction should only ever occur online and that large-scale classroom instruction is no longer appropriate. This essay contests the assertion made above. The reasons why classroom training is superior to online learning are discussed in the paragraphs that follow.

The best way to learn is through a computer, although this method frequently fails. First and foremost, when a teacher provides a crucial lecture to pupils online, they are easily sidetracked. When learning through online resources, students may be engaged in a variety of activities at once, such as conversing with friends. Students are unable to focus on their studies as a result. For instance, 72% of students worldwide report being unable to concentrate during online lectures due to distractions.

Address halls, however, have several advantages over online learning. First and foremost, classrooms offer pupils a comfortable setting. Additionally, because they are currently being pressured by their teachers, children are unable to speak with their pals. Additionally, questions are posed to pupils in order to instruct, and they are given detailed explanations for each topic. Students do not understand practical skills if they are learning about computers. For instance, the proportion of students who prefer to learn in a physical classroom as opposed to using online resources has dramatically increased in the UK.

Due to various limitations of online courses, lecture halls continue to be favored by a sizable portion of students. When students enroll in these classes, they benefit from the opportunity to interact directly with their professor, classmates, and fellow students. Additionally, a huge audience in a lecture hall has a favorable impact on students' motivation and interest in the subject. For example, some students find that asking their peers for clarification. Is a more effective learning strategy than reading textbooks and paying attention to an online instructor.

In conclusion, I oppose the claim because there are numerous negative effects associated with online learning. But today, lecture halls are prioritized by individuals all across the world.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Many people believe that since online learning is included, the location of teaching sessions is not important. But I fully disagree with what was said. The following paragraphs address the causes of my altercation, including the possibility of communication flaws or eye grievances.

To start, there can be a problem with interaction skills due to the relocation of lecture halls. What is supposed to be discerned from it? Online classes provide for face-to-face interaction between lecturers and students, which may allow for speaking opportunities. Their self-assurance will help them become their best motivators ever. For scholars and their coaches, however, online learning with the poorest video calling technology is not an option. Because they can only contact each other via voice on the web platform, not face-to-face. As an illustration, the zoom app is helpful for managing online classes. However, face-to-face communication prevents lessons from being imparted in a perfect way.

Online education has benefits. From the convenience of your own home, you can learn. For those who cannot afford to spend six or seven hours in a classroom, the dynamic learning periods are a blessing. Additionally, students can now find professors from anywhere in the world thanks to the internet.

Similar to the preceding disadvantage, studying online while using technology might cause a range of eye complaints. Since UV rays are bad for the eyes, students must spend a lot of time staring at mobile screens that block ultraviolet light. For instance, a resident suffering from sleeplessness may not be able to use a phone, which is obviously important if they are students. In the end, it would be crucial to attend lectures without the risk of contracting any illnesses.

In conclusion, if offline education is forbidden, a wide range of problems arise. The reason for this is that bad interactions with eye problems may happen while taking an online course.
