Band 8 IELTS Essay
It is indeed true that there has been an increase in the number of individuals who live and work in different nations compared to the past. However, this does not necessarily mean that the future will bring with it borderless nations where people can freely move from one country to another. Even within a single nation, it is not always easy for people to move and find acceptance. For instance, in India, many young people leave their hometowns to work in metropolitan cities for better earning opportunities, but they are not always welcomed with open arms. The priority is given to local residents who are familiar with the local customs and traditions and have a better understanding of how things work in that particular city.
The situation is even more challenging during financial crises. During such times, the first people to lose their jobs are often those who have come from other nations to work in the country. In recent times, nations have implemented even more restrictive and stringent immigration policies, making it even harder for people to migrate to other nations, which has become an increasingly important aspect of people's lives as they seek access to life's resources.
Before we can even consider the idea of a borderless world, we must first address the numerous problems related to immigration. Temporary visas, such as spousal visas and renewable working permits, often come with several challenges and are often suspended, leaving individuals in dire consequences.
In conclusion, the existence of borders will continue to persist in the future due to the prevalent cultural, economic, and safety differences between nations. The idea of a borderless world is still a distant dream, and much work needs to be done to ensure that the challenges related to immigration are addressed and solved before we can even think about a world without borders.
Band 7 IELTS Essay
In recent years, a large number of people have been traveling and settling in other countries for work purposes, which has resulted in a significant increase in migration for work. Despite the restrictions placed by the receiving countries, there is a growing acceptance of foreign workers. One of the prime examples of a borderless world is the European Union, where foreign workers within Europe are free to live and work in all member states, thereby fostering greater freedom of movement.
The concept of a world without borders was once considered to be far-fetched, but we are now witnessing small parts of the world opening their borders for free travel. Countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe have already adopted visa-free travel and it is likely that this trend will continue to expand to more countries in the future. The movement towards an open society with freedom of movement is gaining momentum and it is possible that the world would eventually become borderless.
National borders were originally drawn to protect and nurture the local population, much like enclosures in a zoo. However, if the world were to become borderless, it could result in great economic progress. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is an example of an association of countries that has already implemented visa-free travel for citizens of its member nations starting from 2015. This demonstrates the feasibility of a borderless world.
In conclusion, the borderless world is becoming a reality, albeit gradually. With the increasing trend towards open societies and freedom of movement, it is highly likely that the world will become borderless in the future. This would bring about numerous benefits to people and promote economic progress. A world without borders would be a world without boundaries, where people can move freely, work, and live without restrictions, fostering greater unity and cooperation between nations.
Band 6.5 IELTS Essay
A major surge in migration for work has occurred in recent years as a result of many people travelling and relocating abroad for employment-related reasons. There is an increasing acceptance of international labour notwithstanding the limitations imposed by the receiving nations. The European Union is one of the best illustrations of a borderless society since it allows for more freedom of movement by allowing foreign employees within the continent of Europe to live and work in any of the union's member nations.
A world without borders was previously thought to be unthinkable, yet now we see little pockets of the globe opening their borders to unrestricted travel. A number of nations in Asia, Africa, and Europe now allow travel without a visa; it seems expected that additional nations will follow suit in the near future. There is a growing push toward open societies where people are free to roam about, and it's feasible that ultimately there won't be any more borders.
Similar to the enclosures at a zoo, national boundaries were first constructed to safeguard and support the local inhabitants. The globe may see significant economic advancement, nevertheless, if all borders were eliminated. As an example of a group of states, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has already made visa-free travel available to nationals of its member countries beginning in 2015. The viability of a borderless world is illustrated by this.In conclusion, however gradually, the borderless world is becoming a reality. It is conceivable that there won't be any more national borders in the future due to the rising tendency toward open societies and mobility. People would gain a lot from this, and it would advance the economy. People would be able to travel freely, engage in employment, and live without hindrance in a borderless world, promoting more inter-national harmony and collaboration.
