Jewellery IELTS Speaking Part 1 comprises a total of 6 questions with answers and vocabulary. This topic comprises questions that require candidates to answer some personal experiences and happenings. The questions included in this topic are as follows; Do you wear any jewelry, What can we learn about a person by looking at their jewelry, Why do people like to wear jewelry, Why do some people keep their jewelry on for such a long time, What kind of jewelry did you enjoy carrying and admire on others, and Is jewelry, such as rings or necklaces, worn by individuals in your country.

IELTS Speaking part 1 requires candidates to introduce themselves to the examiner. The part assesses whether the candidate has the ability to communicate, state opinions, and give information on everyday topics or experiences. Topic - Jewellery IELTS Speaking Part 1

Question 1. Do you wear any jewelry?

Answer: Even though I have a sizable jewellery collection at home, I've never worn more than five pieces because I live by the adage that "simplicity is best." I have a tendency to buy interesting accessories whenever I come across them, but I always give them some thought before wearing them with an outfit. For instance, a straightforward choker is sufficient to highlight my long neck if I'm wearing an off-shoulder top. I like to wear a pair of elegant earrings, such as hoops or feather earrings, with my hair up in a messy bun to add a touch of femininity and romance. But never eat more than five at once.

Vocabulary:

Accessories: an extra item that is added to something and is useful or attractive
feminity: it is addressed as a behavioural aspect

Question 2. What can we learn about a person by looking at their jewelry?

Answer: It might provide some insight into their financial condition and possibly their sense of style. For instance, it is assumed that someone is wealthy if they wear a lot of gold jewellery.

Question 3. Why do people like to wear jewelry?

Answer: I believe it's because wearing jewellery improves one's appearance and makes one more alluring and stylish. Additionally, it increases their confidence.

Vocabulary:

alluring: powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating

Question 4. Why do some people keep their jewelry on for such a long time?

Answer: Why do some individuals continue to wear their jewellery for so long? They all undoubtedly have their own goals in mind. There is typically a backstory to a piece of jewellery when people are emotionally drawn to it. It can be a precious family heirloom that has been handed down through the ages to the owner. The fact that they don't want to remove it could also be due to the possibility that it belongs to someone close to them, such as their husband, father, or soul mate. They are used to wearing the same diamond, which is another influence. After some time, they get used to it and find it difficult to move to a new one, so it stays in place.

Vocabulary:

Heirloom: a valuable item that has remained with a family for a long period of time

Question 5. What kind of jewelry did you enjoy carrying and admire on others?

Answer: If I had to choose, I would choose a gold bracelet or necklace. This is because they stand out and would make a girl look beautiful if they were embellished. According to me, each piece of jewellery has a distinct beauty that depends on the observer's perspective and the appropriateness of the situation.

Question 6. Is jewelry, such as rings or necklaces, worn by individuals in your country?

Answer: The women I know who love jewellery all wear it. I've observed that some of the most popular pieces of jewellery people own and don are rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I think that one of the main motives for Vietnamese women's love of jewellery and wearing jewellery is their desire to look like celebrities and fashion icons. The majority of the jewellery that Vietnamese men wear is watches or wedding bands for those who are married.
