Topic: It is not wise for an industry to replace its experienced but old workers with new and young yet inexperienced individuals. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Almost all businesses today aim to strengthen their position within their specific industries, and in order to do so, they employ a variety of strategies. Once workers hit retirement age, employers are unwilling to keep them on. I concur with the businesses' reasoning for substituting inexperienced teens for their older specialists with extensive expertise. The motivations for the shift in business sector ideology will be covered in this essay.

First off, businesses with an average age of over 40 years old in the workforce perform worse than their direct competitors. Because senior personnel are unable to achieve the same level of output as they did when they were younger. Therefore, the management's decision to stick with them has disadvantages. For instance, a recent survey by "TIMES" Magazine found that businesses with a higher proportion of young employees. Enjoyed faster growth than those with more senior and experienced employees.

Additionally, The Management typically reduces its senior staff, who are paid higher pay, in order to reduce their annual expenditures.

On the other hand, some people might argue that replacing the skilled and experienced workers will have an impact on the company's operations and productivity. But this argument lacks credibility. Because the same results can be quickly obtained by teaching new, inexperienced workers. For instance, a gas refinery in the USA in 1998 fired its senior staff in order to hire fresh, inexperienced workers. This decision proved costly for them and resulted in a loss of roughly $1 million per month.

In conclusion, it is a good idea to replace senior employees with fresh, less-experienced workers in order to increase productivity. By forcing them to put in more hours for less pay and, as a result, keep costs down for the companies. Although the cost of training them is rather high, it is a temporary process with significantly better outcomes.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Older workers are always regarded as the company's gem. People often have various opinions about the same topic. As some say, senior staff should retire to make room for younger ones, while others see them as a valuable asset to the organization. I firmly concur with the stated statement. This essay will explain the value of older employees and how they can contribute to a company's expansion.

They would always place a lot of value on senior personnel in an organization. These kinds of professionals would be capable of making the best selections at the appropriate times as they gained expertise in the industry. A newly hired employee might not be very familiar with how the company operates. New hires should constantly listen to veteran colleagues' instructions. This would serve as training for that group. For instance, older professionals who are already on the job will train a new hire. The company's overall reputation would improve as a result. But of course, one may make a compelling case for the opposing view. Young folks have a lot of energy and fresh ideas. They can take full advantage of opportunities because they never hesitate to take chances. The industry can increase its profit and improve its facilities thanks to the creativity and efforts of young people. Therefore, if businesses want to boost productivity, they should support youthful employees and give them more opportunities. Additionally, young people are exposed to new technology more frequently, which is a significant benefit of possessing them.

Instead of dismissing a laborer who has attained retirement age completely from the company, they should be given a new working environment. In addition, the company can develop new plans that would need these workers to work fewer hours and less frequently. Additionally, this might bring about equilibrium among the workers and office.

In conclusion, an industry would be wise to keep its seasoned staff. because they were able to examine and comprehend every aspect of the organization. They should be treated with particular care. Younger generations that are employed should be able to pick up tips from more experienced people.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The law of nature is changing, and it holds true for all living things, including people. While it may seem unethical for a company to hire young people to replace senior workers. I think most of the time it becomes necessary for that company. This essay will examine this tendency from the viewpoints of businesses and labor.

Certain tasks are physically and mentally taxing, therefore from a business's standpoint. It may be important to switch out older workers with younger ones in certain positions. Physically taxing occupations like coal mining or construction require strenuous physical labor. An elderly person may not be able to perform as effectively as a young one. A failure to respond quickly in mentally demanding tasks like that of an air traffic controller. Or an emergency medical technician might result in fatalities. Because of this, businesses in such situations are at a loss for alternatives, making the replacement of senior staff a must.

However, rather than being fired all at once, senior and experienced staff should be gracefully retired with all the perks. In other words, any company should make it a top priority to ensure that its employees live better lives once their employment with the company is done. For instance, a company should offer free medical care and a regular monthly pension to experienced workers so they are not reliant on others. A closer look reveals that this approach benefits not just the retired workers. But also the government by allowing it to spend less on providing medical care for the elderly.

To sum up, the co-operative sector's unpleasant reality regarding the replacement of senior personnel in numerous enterprises is accurate. Many might lose the only way of earning. However, with the support of their employers. Its detrimental effects on the lives of replaced employees can be mitigated.
