Is it possible for the Scientist and Tourist to Travel to the Remote Natural Environment IELTS Writing Task 2 requires the candidates to provide a tentative and argumentative answer for the question. To begin with, exploring distinct and new places may seem to be adventurous. Visiting unknown places may give you a different experience from the experience which you gain by visiting common places. Moreover, exploring the distinct and remote areas may fetch you the sought-after serenity and tranquillity which you couldn’t find amidst the chaos of city life. In addition, exploring unknown areas may prove to be beneficial for scientists. Visiting these places may help them to acquire some additional knowledge or any other kind of material which can lead to a greater discovery.

As every situation or every advancement has its drawbacks, similarly travelling to remote areas may seem to be dangerous in many ways. A proper understanding and knowledge are required to visit remote areas. If you are not well-prepared you may end up harming yourself. Without gaining the proper knowledge of that particular area you may risk yourself. For instance, if people wish to travel to the South Pole, they need to be well-prepared as the temperature at the South Pole is relatively low. Moreover, exploring these places requires a lot of arms and legs. It is not a piece of cake for anyone to travel to these remote areas. Huge investment and proper safety of the traveller is required to travel these areas. Travelling to these places is like draining your money and energy.

Thus, though there are some drawbacks of travelling to remote areas it seems that the merits of travelling to these areas are more significant than the demerits.

As more people wish to visit and settle in these areas we may end up harming nature and causing a disturbance in nature’s cycle. Setting up industries may affect the beauty of nature and thus, would result in draining of the resources.

On the other hand, exploring these places may provide a base for the research to unearth something interesting and informative. There are still unearthing discoveries to be made by humans to progress in their lifestyle. Visiting these remote places may prove to be beneficial for scientists and researchers as it may provide a base for their research. Unearthing the secrets of these places may also be beneficial for the country and government as a whole. The country can make use of the unknown knowledge and resources to lead it towards progress. Simultaneously, these remote areas are bestowed with soothing scenery and a tranquil aura. Generally, these places are more appealing and tempting to the tourists who are in search of calmness and to experience the beauty of nature.

Thus, it is seen that the advantages of exploring these remote places may seem to outweigh the disadvantages.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

With the growing accessibility and interest to explore remote areas, people are easily able to travel to remote places. While travelling to these remote places carry its benefits and drawbacks.

On one hand, travelling to these places can harm nature as humans can disturb the cycle of nature. Moreover, travelling to these remote areas may prove to be a resource-draining tour, as it requires a lot of preparation to be made before exploring these places.

But it is certain to some extent that the advantages seem to outweigh the disadvantages which are mentioned above. Let’s have a glance at the advantages of travelling to remote areas.

To begin with, while visiting these places we can experience and encounter new cultures and living styles which we might not have witnessed while visiting the popular places. We can gain a lot of information regarding the culture of distinct places which can make our journey more interesting. Secondly, exploring the wilderness of these remote areas can instil a sense of responsibility towards nature. We, humans, hold immense responsibility for protecting and preserving our nature and by visiting these places we can reconcile our responsibility.
