In the present world of advancement, the internet is regarded as one of the most important and crucial creation, which is capable to take the place of classic and universal mode of gathering data and knowledges about enormous things. Inspite of this, although, there are few people who carries a firm belief with them that how much advance the internet becomes, still it will be unable to take the place of educational or reading books. I wholeheartedly concur with this forecast, in that I believe that for students in schools, academic textbooks are invariably more valuable than the internet. All kind of computerized technologies with internet access have reportedly been enabled in today's classrooms and can be employed for academic purposes. Internet sources do not, however, replace traditional course texts, despite the fact that their use is recommended. The viability of the information available on the internet is one of the main causes. The academic texts that students read are written by specific writers and have been required reading for a very long period. Given that they are very effective writers, their credibility cannot be questioned. It might not always be true, just like when kids obtain various types of material online. The number of responses posted by various groups of people may cause students to become confused about which is the correct response. While accuracy is a problem, pupils' ability to understand particular material may also be hampered by inaccurate or misleading information. School-aged children lack the maturity to distinguish between authentic and trustworthy sources and falsified and untrustworthy sources. Another drawback of internet-based education is that it requires a gadget to access it, whereas traditional books can be taken around and are portable. As a way for students to study their books using PDFs and attempt to replace traditional books, schools have begun to provide pupils tablets. Critics have found that children's eye problems have been on the rise as a result of prolonged screen time, which is bad for their physical health. Therefore, despite the fact that the internet has access to a wealth of knowledge, its negative effects on young children exceed its advantages. Traditional books would therefore never be replaced and continue to exist in society.

One of the most significant developments in the era of modern technology in the 21st century is that of the internet that has been able to replace traditional sources of information. People can now surf through the internet and gain any kind of information they are looking for. Even for school children, the internet has been acting as the platform that could provide them guidance through course books available.

However, it has been widely argued by some people that the internet can never completely replace academic textbooks. With sheer support for this argument, it can be stated that the benefit of the internet is high but it being a replacement for traditional books can never happen. It is true that today’s schools are focusing on computerised studies where students are able to gain knowledge through video classrooms or use of laptops. However, the use of the internet can be considered beneficial in terms of classroom study but not for personal studies. Whenever students search for information on the internet there are numerous responses to that. While some are user-driven and authentic websites, there are false and unreliable websites as well. These tend to affect the knowledge of the children who are unaware of the authenticity of the website and the information. The academic books which are provided from the school are from authentic authors and their work has been widely popularised. They are highly reliable sources and would help in answering the questions of the students. Children in schools are too young to separate the good and reliable from the false and unreliable materials. Furthermore, children in schools require guided learning as well compared to adults. Accordingly, students can make use of the traditional course books as a means to endure a guided approach to learning and gaining knowledge. Thus, the internet might contain a lot of information but using it as a source of material and guide for school children might not be a good idea. Therefore, the internet cannot replace traditional course books.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Technological advancement in the world has been widespread and has led people to make use of the internet to remain connected and advanced in this world. Certainly, the advent of the internet has changed lives and the ways of academic learning have also changed with that. Some people however, still believe that no matter the power of the internet, it is not possible and would never replace traditional course books in schools.

I tend to disagree with this aspect. In my view and argument, I think the capability of the internet has increased to an extent whereby it has been possible for schools to replace books with tablets and laptops to study through the internet. The pandemic has been the greatest example in stating how well the different countries have been able to adopt online learning techniques. This also includes downloading and online reading of the books of course curriculum by the school students. It is true on one hand that people of the previous generation find it more enchanting to read books of academic courses rather than through the internet. It is quite interesting and gives satisfaction in marking important points and taking down notes. However, the internet has made it simpler to put down bookmarks in the online PDFs and even highlight important information that students can find. However, it is possible that children might find it difficult at initial stages to learn this new way of studying but definitely would be better accustomed to it. Moreover, online books also give the opportunity to undertake better ways of learning in the form of picturesque models and videos making it more interesting. Children are becoming more engaged with their school curriculum than ever before. Hence, in my opinion, it is true that traditional books might be important for some people in society but the millennial generation is more interested in everything online which might replace the former.
