Band 7 IELTS Essay

People of all ages are using the internet more and more, and it has radically altered our way of life because it makes things easier for us. Along with these favorable effects, it is also leading to more serious problems than in previous generations. This essay will list the flaws with the internet and make recommendations for solutions. The growth of the internet has given rise to numerous issues. One is the rise in cybercrime everywhere in the world.

This is due to the fact that people divulge more personal information on social media. Where many others start using that information for extortion and other unfair means. Additionally, more people, particularly younger ones. Spend too much time on computers, engage in insufficient face-to-face interaction, and fail to mingle. Due to their inability to communicate their issues with others. Individuals struggle with mental health issues and encounter a number of additional difficulties. For instance, many school-age children in Nepal have trouble interacting with their peers. Because they spend most of their time on Facebook and lack social skills.

There should be some kind of awareness program about the repercussions of releasing more personal information in order to reduce these problems. Before adding any further information about themselves on any social media platform, this helps people become informed. Parents should also encourage their kids to participate in outdoor and group activities that allow them to interact with other kids. Children interact face-to-face with others so they can develop social and teamwork skills that are crucial for later life.

To educate their young children social skills and the value of teamwork, for instance, German parents encourage them to participate in community events. In summary, the internet has raised the potential of cybercrimes if more personal information is disclosed. And children may lack the skills they need for the future. Making individuals aware of the negative effects of posting more about oneself would help to fix these issues. And parents should concentrate on taking their kids to social gatherings and outdoor activities.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

The modern era is unquestionably all about data and speed. While introducing technology into our daily lives has significantly altered how we conduct tasks on a regular basis. But this has also brought with it a unique set of issues that didn't exist before. This essay will explore some of the most pressing problems affecting our society now and offer some remedies.

The internet is, first and foremost, a portal to opportunity. As a result, numerous significant changes were noticed with the introduction of networking. For instance, the method of delivering education has greatly improved without any bother. Which preserves the trees that were felled to manufacture paper and helps to save the environment. In addition, systems like Skype and Google Duo have reduced actual distances.

On the other hand, the aforementioned also started cybercrime. Including data leak, ethical hacking, and banking frauds, and awareness is absolutely essential to stop hostile attacks. A consumer must respect their privacy and be alert to the difficulties that lie ahead. Second, the government can encourage consumers to install anti-virus software as a requirement on their devices.

Further exploration of the shadow side reveals that the situation is worrying. Due to their exposure to these technologies, the younger generation finds it difficult to interact with others face-to-face. And instead prefers to converse via chats and messaging. According to an Oxford University poll, the number of people suffering from depression has significantly increased during the past ten years. This is due to the fact that, despite having a vast virtual friend list, they fail to actually interact.

In other words, if the government tends to encourage more social events where people can communicate with one another, this can be managed. On the other hand, families can also encourage a space where they may engage in digital detox and interact with one another. Such as Facetime Fridays or No Net Sundays where they can freely converse and engage in activities like grilling or watching movies. In conclusion, maintaining the social strata of traditional communication is the responsibility of both an individual and the governing entities.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The internet is the modern invention with the greatest impact. Although it has fundamentally altered our lives, it has also brought up a number of new issues. In this essay, I'll outline the significant issues the internet has brought about and offer some recommendations for how to fix them.

Cybersecurity issues and the deterioration of relationships are the main issues brought on by internet penetration. Nowadays, online interaction is more appealing to people than becoming actively involved in their communities. As a result, social ties have deteriorated. As a result, society is fracturing and becoming disorganized. Even ties with family members are impacted. Children, for instance, are unable to spend time with their families. Instead, they are forming online friendships.

Another issue is cyber security. Unaware that they are placing themselves at danger of identity theft. And cyber threats, people share personal information and images online. Due to cyberattacks, both individuals and organizations are experiencing losses in the billions of dollars. Antisocial elements also use the internet to disseminate their message of violence and hatred.

Since the internet is still a young means of communication, many individuals are still unaware of all the risks it poses. Therefore, raising awareness is the best strategy for solving this issue. To combat cybercrime, the government should establish task forces for cyber security. Children should also be taught responsible online behavior starting in school. There needs to be some kind of education campaign about the negative effects of releasing more personal information in order to reduce these problems. This makes people more conscious before updating any additional information about themselves on any social media platform. Another alternative is for parents to encourage their kids to participate in community. And outdoor activities that allow them to interact with other kids.

To sum up, there is no doubt that the internet has improved our lives. However, technology has also brought about issues including problems in personal life and online criminality. The best solution to this issue is to raise knowledge of cyber security.
